Seeing that this deck is now realized via another platform than kickstarter lets me assume that the IP claim isn't settled or even lost?

It would likely be consider a parody - as such, it would be protected speech, though a too-close copy of an active trademark might be a different story. This particular deck, though, is using the 1964 deck?s version of the Jerry?s Nugget logo as the basis of the design - it?s likely not a current trademark, considered to be abandoned.

I see it the same way. But Hansonchien ran a kickstarter for these and the campaign was suspended due to IP claims. The old Chicken Nuggets (those that are a parody on the USPC Jerry's Nuggets) are taken down as well (although already fullfilled). That's why I assumed that the claim is still pending.

It could simply be Kickstarter or HCPC being overly cautious. Remember, you can be on the right side of the law - but when it comes time to defend yourself in court, the party with the deeper pockets tend to win more often than the party that's in the right, and unfortunately they're not always the same party.

Definitely, that's why I posted here. Seeing that the producer himself posted about his project, I figured maybe he wants to bring some transparency to the situation instead of just doing promotion.

Yeah it would be nice if they shed some light, but clearly it's flying off the shelves like hot nuggets (pun intended) and they may not really care to elaborate since it may have not to benefit?
I think its a cool branding play on a historical deck, I have no credentials to weigh in on the legality, I'm just commenting as a collector. I am guessing if Hason Chien Production Co are putting themselves out there with this they have done some research? since this is created and produced by them. Regardless It just makes you smile to look at the court cards 😄
