Apparently he's Michael James now. LOL. Oh well, I preferred Michael Herp. BUt he's one of my favourite flourishers! I'll be most likely getting one!

Call me ignorant if you must, but what's "Solo", who's this Michael character and where's this thing being sold?

herp has been doing alot of the USPCC card trailers lately. he is the guy in the new steampunk deck trailer. he also does the tally ho trailer and the S&M v5 trailer.

solo is his t11 cardistry DVD coming out on the 27th of this month.

The flourishes look good - though this doesn't look anywhere near an "entry level" instructional video.  I should really start learning some flourishes...

forget entry level! go big or go home. once u get the basic one handed cuts down, maybe not perfected but close enough, then its time to start some more complicated stuff.

as of this moment i dont have the funds to buy this, so ima wait a few weeks and then get it. i've always loved herps style. im not a fan of big displays and fanning every two seconds, i like the smooth multipacket cuts.

A fellow's gotta crawl before he can walk, walk before he can run, run before he can get into the Olympics.  I haven't learned more than the flourishing equivalent of crawling just yet...

I don't really care about the flourishes as I am sure they will be phenomenal but the trailer sucked. Did it look cool? Yes. Did it show us basically any of the flourishes? No.

So, it failed as a trailer. I would have appreciated it if T11 could have made a decent one.

I would have been more interested if they gave a preview of each of the flourishes taught in the DVD. Maybe they are afraid people might use that and slow it down and learn it from there? LOL.

I'm still kicking myself for not realizing that Pure went on sale at the same time as Steam Punk and Charity:Water.  I would have bought them all together.  I'm a fan of hers ever since seeing her twirl around a deck of Gold Arcanes...

Yeah, I kind of prefer more "acrobatics" myself.  I love her stunt where she's dribbling out a deck over her head with one hand and catching the cards as they fall with the other, snagging them before they've had a chance to let gravity take it's course!  I saw it in slo-mo and it looked like art.  The fact that she's cute doesn't hurt, either!  :))

Maybe you should retry that download.  I can download a two-hour movie from iTunes in twenty minutes!

Yikes.  Have you tried accessing the 'net from a local coffee lounge, college or library?  Even a McDonald's would do - most of them have free WiFi.  (Or do you not have a notebook computer?)

It shows it with talking very slow then it shows it in slow-mo with no talking. Overall it is an excellent dvd and I definatly recommend picking it up.

The video has pretty poor lighting though. I have almost mastered Elysium and am working on the other ones.

Do you have genesis v1?
You should go with the v2 if you already have v1.
Andrei Jikh is a great teacher.
I dont know about solo.

are v1 and v2 linked ?? coz i think i already know more of the basic moves .. so buying it is sort of wasting money since i roughly know half of the material already

V1 is basic, but it also contains original moves of Andrei too. And in the v2, some moves are base on the v1. But i think you might be able to catch up without the v1.

do you have the v2 ?? if have i infer that you have watched it already .. and when he is teaching move .. which are base on the v1 does he some of recap how the trick is done ?

I think it's best for you to have both v1 and v2, cause a lot of moves on v2 are based on the v1.
As I said, you maybe able to catch up with it, but it's better if you have prepared your foundation at the best with the v1.

If you are not ready to buy both, then try solo.
