Yeah, it's looking great
I would also imagine a red one is not far behind

Yeah, it's looking great

And the rainbow one.
-
Looks very elegant! I really am looking forward to getting these.
-
Wonder what the back design would look like, hopefully a new design. But base on previous split spades reference, it might just be a white back design
-
the box design look very nice .. i will pick up quite some for it superb handling
-
I like the look a lot. It's funny that we hear about it right after the White Monarch release... It's kinda the same concept for both. Can't wait though!
-
When "Series A Blue" came out, I was just getting into cards, and never picked any up... a decision I've regretted ever since. These ones will be all mine :t11:
-
can't wait for this to come out i hope its a 5,000 deck run so i will be able to get some and the box looks cool this time i won't miss out on this .
-
Those look very nice, I will for sure be picking some up. :)
-
Awesome box. i wonder if these will be more or less limited than the series A decks.
I am also wondering if there will be any difference at all in the back design.
as for the red and other colors of the white lions i personally won't be getting my hopes up for those (or even these for that matter with how hard it is becoming to get limited decks). It was quite a while before blaine released the reds as a part of the variety box.
-
I love the box. To me, the holographic box reminds me that of the Monarchs. I wonder if these cards will be different that the Series A deck. I have a feeling he'll do something different somehow. No surprise the box is embossed.
-
Consider the chance that Series B won't be as limited as Series A was. Series A was supposedly made just for David Blaine's personal use at first...
...but we'll never know since aside from uber-rare releases, he never reveals print run size, does he? Does he?
-
Knowing the Series B will be released, It would be wise to stock up on the Series A. The price is only going to go up. I can see the Blue Series A fetching $35 - $40 a deck by the end of the year.
-
Definitely fell in love with the series a white lions the first time I handled them. I was at a Calen morelli seminar thing and he let me fool around with them for a bit and I loved them, i've gotten a couple over the months but definitely not as many as I would like. Do you guys think its going to be the same cards as the last white lions?? Or maybe same stock and finish but a different design??
I also just noticed that on David blaines website for 25 dollars you can get a signed white lion AND a sealed one. I've seen the signed deck on there but didn't know it came with two decks.did it always come with two?? Either way I picked mine up today!
This is definitely looking like possibly my favorite release of the year purely based on my love of the original ones
-
I think these are going to be the same stock and finish as the original ones. Not necessarily the same handling though. Ink has a big impact on that.
As for the double deal on David Blaine's website, I don't know how long it's been there, but it already existed 2 weeks ago.
-
I'll pick some up too... The box does look elegant. And I do hope the handling is on par with the Series A. I wonder if the back design is the same though. Hope they'll rework the design a bit, not sure how they might want to do that..
Speaking of the double deal on DB's website. I'm not sure if it's been asked already, but does it come with 2 signed Series A? Or is it just one? I'd appreciate it if someone could clarify that for me. Thanks.
-

One signed and one sealed that's not signed. I think its a pretty good deal because that's about 12.50 a piece which is about right for a white lion on the market right now anyways andyou get one that's signed for basically what you'd pay for just the two
-
Alright, thanks for clarifying that. And I agree, even if it's for one that's signed and one that's not, it's definitely a good deal. Guess I'll just go grab one for future uses. ;D
-
My guess would be the same back design as the Series A but with metallic blue and silver inks.
-
Maybe it will have a inverse color scheme? Probably not but who knows.
-
Knowing the Series B will be released, It would be wise to stock up on the Series A. The price is only going to go up. I can see the Blue Series A fetching $35 - $40 a deck by the end of the year.
The opposite can also happen - especially if the Series B is nearly identical to Series A. People would start thinking that it's not worth paying more for an A when a B is available at retail.

The double deal appeared shortly after the original Series A Blue sold out. He had a similar deal for the Split Spades Lions and the Bee Split Spades. There may have been more, I don't know. I do know this deal's been around for months.
I liked the deal he made for the Split Spades Lions, long after they were sold out - a red deck and a blue deck in a fancy box complete with an envelope filled with a handful of gaff cards! That deal was REALLY sweet.
I'll pick some up too... The box does look elegant. And I do hope the handling is on par with the Series A. I wonder if the back design is the same though. Hope they'll rework the design a bit, not sure how they might want to do that..

Allow me to add a little more detail.
The set comes with two Series A Blue decks of White Lions. One is pristine and cellophane-wrapped with no autograph, while the other has the cellophane removed but is still sealed shut with the sticker seal, and it has David Blaine's autograph on the back of the box.
My guess would be the same back design as the Series A but with metallic blue and silver inks.
Maybe it will have a inverse color scheme? Probably not but who knows.
Well, I'm doubting there will be metallic ink on it. David's never used metallic inks before and it's clear that the idea of the White Lions was to make a more subtle deck without a busy design, something unassuming that won't trigger abnormal curiosity in the spectators seeing it in action.
Now an inverse design would be right up his alley. He's done many inverse designs in his previous releases. It does mean that if he's using the same stock, they will handle a bit differently because of the extra ink.
-

The opposite can also happen - especially if the Series B is nearly identical to Series A. People would start thinking that it's not worth paying more for an A when a B is available at retail.
Don't know if I'm quite buying that explanation. I can see if we were using 1st and 2nd edition Crown Decks as an example. The 2nd editions being almost identical, do stagnate the value of the 1st. Those looking to buy a Crown Deck to use rather then buy as part of their collection, would not see the point in buying a 1st edition.
From what I can see just on the box alone, the Series B White Lions are intended to be different from the Series A. More people don't have Series A's and are now looking at buying Series B's. It should drive the demand for Series A's up.

Wait - you do realize that the first example you gave was a valid proof of my point, right?
The second example doesn't necessarily result in demand for Series A to increase. Assuming that the Series B deck is so close to identical that it's hardly worth giving it a new name or version (as T11 has done for a number of their decks), people looking to use the cards will look at the price of Series A, then the price of Series B - and they'll buy whichever is cheaper! In this case, that's more likely to be Series B.
The only way that model drives the price of Series A up is if either Series A ends up CHEAPER than Series B (very unlikely, and that demand would cease once the A price exceeded the B price) or if they are indeed totally different decks. If they were that radically different, they probably wouldn't be "Series B" but instead would have a new name.
My money's still on an inverted color scheme. He did it with his Bee Split Spades, and the other two runs of Split Spades had a few inverted color schemes as well. That could be a noteworthy difference, considering that all that extra ink would result in a different performance with the same paper. I'm also inclined to doubt that he's using Magic Finish, since he's had opportunities to do so and thus far has declined to do so.
-
Wait - you do realize that the first example you gave was a valid proof of my point, right?
Yes, I do realize.
I used that as an example when your theory is correct. It would be correct more often then not in this case also (Series B) "if the decks are identical". My point is, I don't think Series B is identical. Similar but not identical.
We can look at another example. The first Magic Con decks (can be debated) have value in there own right. The addition of another Magic Con V2 (2012) certainly helps establish the value of the first Magic Con Deck. The creation of the 2nd is evidence of success of the first. "Not identical" but another version of the same premise.
They are named "White Lions" for a reason. They will continue to use the primarily white back with blue print. The difference will be a swap from the continues split spade logo to a continues NEW logo. It should use a blue metallic ink. David Blaine decks have never used metallic inks before but this would be more reason to use it now rather then not.
-
I, unlike most people, am hoping that the backs are as close to the original as possible. I love the backs and the faded light blue, and I have heard they are some of the best handling decks around, and I want to experience that handling. Also, I don't think an inverted color scheme would look that good.
-
While I don't really want to speculate about the backs yet. I will say I would expect these to be quality products. Although I'm not a huge fan of David Blaine himself (I mean I'm not really into his magic...I'm sure David Blaine in person is a class act...as Don can probably attest), I love his products and especially his marketing and customer service. I own every split spade deck he has ever made and I must say they are without a doubt some if not the best quality decks I own. He also seems to space out releases evenly without flooding us and usually everyone gets a fair shake at getting his products. I guess what I'm trying to say is (and this may not be fair to him) I have really high expectations for this deck!
-
Wait - you do realize that the first example you gave was a valid proof of my point, right?
Yes, I do realize.

The Magic Con decks are a terrible example. They both were made as a commemorative item for an event - only small quantities were ever intended for retail sale. A better example would be all three releases of the Split Spades - Tally-Ho, Bee and Lions:
Tally-Ho - red, blue, black.
Bee - black, inverted black.
Lions - inverted black, inverted blue, red.
The man likes to do inverse versions of his cards. It's not beyond the pale to imagine he'd do so with Series B.
As far as your speculation regarding the deck, there's no way Blaine is abandoning his "db" split-spade logo. Not only is it on all of his merchandise, he uses it when personalizing an autograph. I watched him sign an uncut sheet and a Variety Box right in front of me, and he wrote "To Don, God bless" followed by an autograph - and the "d" in God and the "b" in bless are in the shape of his split spade logo! It's his brand, his icon - it's not going away any time soon. (Look in some of the older topics and you can read about the night I spent hanging out with him and his creative team in his Manhattan office.)
Metallic inks negatively affect the card's performance, so I don't see him using any. Nowadays, anything with metallic ink also has Magic Finish (or as Ellusionist calls it, "Performance Coating") to counteract the negative impact of the metallic ink. It's why CARC made their most recent Erdnase deck, Black and Silver Acorn Backs, using Magic Finish for the first time, despite the boxes listing the finishes as "Cambric" and "Ivory". Some think Magic Finish is the best thing since air, while some think it's too slick to be of use to them - and a lot of people have opinions somewhere in the middle.
If he does or doesn't do an inverted back design, I could see him doing something with new gaff cards, changing the box and card reveals and/or improving the marking system he used on the card backs, but metallic ink would be a stretch.
-

I know I'm new to the forum but I have followed here as a guest for some time. I should have known you were going to go there.

If he does go with an inverse back for Series B it defeats the purpose of calling it "White" Lions. Everyone in the playing card community knows (as do you), If you call the Deck "White" its primarily white back with color print. Yes Don, I know a "White Lion" is an actual type of Lion and could just be the general name but in our case (the playing card community) white is white.
As far as your speculation regarding the deck, there's no way Blaine is abandoning his "db" split-spade logo.
That's fine. However many looking to buy the deck would be disappointed if this was not different then Series A. Many of us would call Mark and David out on it.

I personally like the magic finish. I guess you can consider me somewhere in the middle.
Maybe David does not? I don't believe anyone has ever pinpointed the actual finish of the White Lions Series A that I'm aware of. Some have speculated that they might also use magic finish. The black and silver Acorn Backs are one of my favorite decks made.
-
Well, if Blaine doesn't do an inverted color version, then I can't really say what he's got in mind. I'm better than 99% certain that the overall look will be very similar with perhaps a few key differences. Look at the Tally Ho Split Spades and the Bee version. Aside from color differences, they're identical, right down to the one-way mark I found (said mark was removed with the SS Lions and could just as easily have been a simple manufacturing defect, but it's there in both versions nonetheless).
I'm a big fan of those Black and Silver Acorns as well. Trivia: the Ivory version of that deck is so far the only smooth-textured deck to employ Magic Finish. The first deck of any kind was the Gold Arcane, the first deck stating "Magic Finish" on the box was the Gargoyles, and the first deck to state "Performance Coating" was the Artifice version 1 blue. One other deck out there uses the same finish without either name: the White Arrcos called it "Premium Finish".
But back to David and the Series B - no one can say for certain anything about the deck until they've actually seen something more than the front of the box. Maybe he'll go hog wild with metallic inks and Magic Finish, maybe he'll make it a smooth deck, maybe it will be blah blah blah... No way to know.
-
This shows a little box that looks like it would contain one White Lions Series B and one Silver Split Spades! That would be a pretty cool set!
-
Anything about a more 'specefic' release date? Or just some vague information and pictures?

As always, if someone had info that they were allowed to share, I'm sure they'd post it.

If these were put in a set, I'd be surprised. He doesn't usually put two decks like these in a set. His sets usually revolve around identical decks, such as all three colors of the Split Spades (Lion) decks, with the exception of, of course, the Variety Box.

I received a two white lion set in this box, it's actually really nice.I'll see if I can post pictures later. But I don't think he's going to put white lions and the split spades together. He's already had these boxes and he's just holding them in this for the contest I think.
-
He might do a set of two signed deck, one of each.. However, I actually prefer if they were sold separately though.. Could decide to get a brick of each that way. :P

He's done quite a number of two-deck sets. The Bee Split Spades were the first, White Lions were the second, and the third were red and blue Split Spades Lions with an black envelope containing eight gaff cards for the two decks. Each set came with an autographed deck - for the Bees, inverse black; for the White Lions, one of the two identical decks; for the "Magician's Set", the red deck was available with autograph for a little extra.
In fact the second and third releases are STILL available at http://shop.davidblaine.com/collections/cards - he also lists the "Bicycle Split Spades" gaff decks and, despite being long sold out, the collector's box of a brick of Split Spades Lions.
If I had to guess, I'd say the cards will be available for standard purchase, then made available for purchase in the boxed sets, which would fit his normal pattern for releases.

That's a nice shot - the Brooklyn Bridge from the Manhattan waterfront into Brooklyn.
Is it just me, or does that deck look like there's metallic blue ink on the box?
Funny thought: shove this in a Porper clip enough times, you'll flatten the inkless name right off the tuck!
-
i don't think blue is metallic ink but i'm sure about the silver and yes the Brooklyn Bridge is amazing!!!!!!!!
-
The background looks like a poster. This deck has been labelled "Coming Soon" to "Coming very soon". Hurry up! We need a date. Hahahha. And another for the silver split spades!!!!

I will probably pass in buying some of the series b decks as I have a brick of the originals. But I'd like to see if I can get a couple of split spades lions...

And now that I think of it, do you folks think it would be useful to have a list of various artists' Twitter feeds in one place?

So you can only but them in sets of 2 and 12? That's strange, but whatever. It's not a big deal, just weird.

There is also a countdown posted on his website. It's up for 5 days now.

No I just saw it briefly on screen, actually every speaker had a set of the 2 new decks beside them from DB there.

Oh did they look any different? and is it worth getting a brick of these?
Update: i was googling the series b and i came up with this on another forum
http://www.unitedcardists.net/uc/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7010&start=20
im not sure if im allowed to give urls to other forums cause im new to the forum but someone has a picture of them recieving a silver split spades and a silver series b. So I'm pretty stoke to see whats coming for us in the future

i dont think they will sell it individually. it may come in custom brick. and people buy the white lions because of the handling, not the looks. so if you're magician/cardist, it is worth to buy a brick

So in addition to having Sliver Split Spades - which literally have a silver back - there's also a White Lions "Black Label" version in silver... Yeesh! I need more money! :)) I'm betting that's going to be a premium in some way, that Black Label.
-
I hope they do something like the ace fultons but i highly doubt they would give a black labelled or split spades silver if you get a brick =(
-

Don't be so sure - they didn't mention the purple "rainbow" WL deck to the first people who bought the red WL AIP...people found out when they opened the box.
-
oh mann hopefully they do, I also hope that the shipping doesn't kill me :/ pretty sure shipping alone is like 30+
-
What upsets me the most is that they aren't releasing the Silver Split Spades at the same time which means we'll end up paying for shipping twice.
-
so they will now feature the split spade lions ace, jokers and a custom brick box. which makes the series A all the more special. :)
-
it is available for order before the timer goes down it was 10 minutes left, and i ordered my brick already so go now!
-
I only bought two because it is basically the same as the original, just the jokers and ace are different.
-
i never had white lions and i heard they were really great because of their handling and i like the simplicity of the back so i decided why not lets get a brick
-
i got 6 for the superb handling and life of these decks. i do sometimes perform with these. no one ever suspected anything cus of their backs. oops did i mentioned that they are also marked? hehehehe
-
oh their marked? no way and the sites is lagging like hell

Shipping to where? Not domestic shipping within the US?
What upsets me the most is that they aren't releasing the Silver Split Spades at the same time which means we'll end up paying for shipping twice.
Shipping for four decks for me was only $5.15. It's not really outrageous - unless you aren't in the US.

Yeah, I checked at 3 minutes left, saw it was up. Was going to mention it here but you beat me to it by a few minutes!
I only bought two because it is basically the same as the original, just the jokers and ace are different.
Well, sure, but this really was an excellent deck when Series A came out. Awesome handling, good stock and finish.

That's the spirit! If I didn't have such a huge-ass collection, I might have done the same thing. You'll have to let us know if they toss you a Black Label deck as well!
oh their marked? no way and the sites is lagging like hell
The marking is very subtle, and doesn't give suits, nor does it always give exact card values. You need an incredibly sharp eye to spot it - I never paid it any mind. If I want to used a marked deck, I'll grab his "Mind Reading" deck or a pack of the Absolute Marked Deck with the Rider back.
-
I'll be sure to let you know if they throw something special in it, I remember watching a video on youtube where someone contact their support about their wrong order on the variety box and recieved a collectors box with a sealed red lions and another one signed :/

btw the limit now is 144 decks. one gross??

btw the limit now is 144 decks. one gross??
did they mess up your order?

I got mine! I was scared because for a while I was getting a message saying that they were all sold out, but after a few minutes my patience prevailed and allowed me to pick some up. I'm slightly upset that he changed the jokers and the ace of spades since I never had the original White Lions, and never got to personally witness the simple-yet-stunning AoS, along with those amazing jokers (my favorite jokers of all time). Let's just hope they keep the card that teaches you how to throw a playing card (although I can already throw cards, it's the simple things like that which excite me).

I purchased a black SS which had a cut in my double backer. i emailed them a picture of it and they sent me those as replacement as they did not have anymore black SS

Well, they are finally sold out now. Im actually very surprised they took this long to sell out. I figured at the most a couple hours. I was way off.... None the less, I got my brick and am happy.
-
i think they print more than 25k so that they can sell it cheap and every one can buy it.

I'm inclined to agree - big print run. Often when someone doesn't announce print run size, it's probably a run of well over 5K. Until the 5K-run Chinatown deck, D&D never stated print run size. Since that took a LONG time to sell out, I'm guessing they won't do that again anytime soon.
-

Im sure you meant 2500 (2.5k) instead of 25,000 (25k).
-
is it possible to request for a signed deck? If so did anyone email them and have gotten a reply?

25K might not be off the mark. What quantities do you think the big companies order for their decks? Hint: they only buy 5K or less on RARE decks. 25K print runs from a company like E for their most popular decks (Masters, Ghost, Arcane, etc.) would not be beyond the pale. It's why they took so long to sell out of some models that still were selling with UV500 stock.
-
I had asked on E's FB page how many Blue Artifice V1's were printed and they said about 100,000 (one hundred Thousand. And those are considered a medium rare deck.

This doesn't surprise me one bit. The blue v1 decks are only "rare" simply because they're out of print with no more ever to be made, not because of anything to do with quantity created.
Quantity available and price of a deck often don't move in anything resembling a linear fashion from deck to deck. Jerry's Nugget decks were easily made in the tens of thousands, and they cost way more than any short-run deck of this age. Even counting nothing but recent decks (<10 years old), countless uinque issues of 5,000 decks sell for amazingly different amounts of money in the aftermarket. While being out of print is a factor, a bigger factor is what people are willing to pay for it at a given point in time. Some are practically cheap as dirt, others run into the triple-digits.
But back to the topic...
Anep21, I suspect this might have been printed in a larger number than the Series A Blue simply because DB Productions knew there was a pent-up demand for the deck. The fact that they didn't charge gouger's prices for them is laudable.
What I'm dying to know is - what about the White Lions BLACK LABEL decks...? Who here wouldn't want to get a hold of a silver-metal version of the White Lions? Let's just hope that 1) they aren't insanely rare like the purple "Rainbow" Series A decks, and 2) they won't just be dropped on the market as a big surprise, only to vanish without a trace before half of us know they were even available. I missed out on the Split Spades Lions VB because I simply never saw it coming - I didn't even have the "deer-in-the-headlights" look; I was looking away somewhere when the truck hit!
-
I got myself a brick of these. I loved the series a deck and only had a few of them so I decided to stock up on this series. Beautiful deck!
@Don, The black label is something I'm curious about too! The deck looked stunning. Hopefully it won't pass us by haha
-
Yea i ordered a brick too. I never had a deck of white lions or ss before. Also i have some questions.
Where does david blaine ship there decks and also do you need to sign something when your package comes cause might not be at home -_-

Brown Baggs? YOU'RE BACK! :D Great to see you on here again. :)
Although I want the Black label, I also really want the Silver Split Spades. I'm guessing they will be released in a set of two, and will only be available with a larger purchase (like the Red White Lions). I might be wrong about the Split Spades, but I feel the black label decks will almost definately be "Reserved for David's personal use", with few being available to the public.
-
The perk of living right outside of NYC is you get packages in 1 day sent from there... Needless to say i got my package and sadly they did not come with the silver split spades or black label white lions.

Yeah, Brown Baggs - long time no hear!
Loldudex2: I don't think this is a "David's reserve" situation. The initial print run was "David's reserve" - this is just for the customers.
Cardist888: Blaine ships from his offices in downtown New York. Usually they come by mail, no signature required, but in a box too big to fit in a small mailbox. I use a PO Box for all of my mail so it's not an issue, but if you don't, you might want to have it sent to someone who can receive it when you're not home.
John: what did you expect? :)) It's not like you ORDERED the Silver SS Lions or the Black Label decks, right?

Well there was speculation that you might get a set if you bought a brick. I bought a brick, actually a brick and a half. Just thought i would cause disappointment now and prevent it later when people open brick packages. :P

Oh. BUT - what if they only put them in RANDOMLY-SELECTED brick boxes? Hmm? ;D :-[ :-\ :( :o

Then i will be depressed, cry, sit in a corner, cry, use the cards, cry etc etc...
They are some seriously nice cards though for anyone wondering. I haven't handled the v1 so i don't know if they are similar but they handle amazingly well. Better then most of the decks on the market these days.
-
Thanks john :)
Wow i live in new york city and i didnt get them yet! :o
Maybe i wrote the wrong adress? Lol but it can happen cause i was typing in my billing adress so fast! -_-

Don't feel so bad - I'm in New York and mine didn't arrive yet, either. I do operate out of a PO Box in lower Westchester, but the delivery time should be just as quick. Only way to get it faster would likely be to live in the same ZIP code as his office!

Haha thanks guys! My account was all screwed up and I finally got reconnected! It's nice to be back. I think you're right Loldude, those will most likely be hard to obtain unless you're willing to shell out a lot of cash. The only reason I have a deck of red white lions is because of the 100 limited edition bricks he released. Man I would love to get a black label though. I think I would give a nice sum for some of them haha

Has anybody NOT received their shipping confirmation yet??

I have my decks already and i never got one.

I seem to remember that DB Productions doesn't usually send shipping confirmations. I've never received one.

My mind is at ease :) thank you guys
-
Well today got my brick :). I gotta say the brick box was pretty boring. Cant wait to open one! Mines didnt came with with silver ss or black label but still awesome cards!
-
what would you think would happen if "my package was damaged" or "my deck was missing jokers" do you think they would supposively ::)
cause apparently someones shipping was delayed and tehy recieved the 2 decks everyones craving
-
I can't believe it, but they actually messed up my order AGAIN! I ordered a brick, plus 2 pairs, and they sent me one brick and one pair :/
Off to support :)

Maybe you'll get a free Black label or silver split spades deck!
-
They sent me a brick and 5 of my decks have tears on the very top left of the box and one the tear is so big the you can see the cards!! All of this is under cello because I haven't opened one up yet.
-
Have no fear you guys, DB have a great customer service, so I wouldn't be surprised if you guys got replacements, if not extras and specials.
Brown Baggs, I'm also glad you're back!
You guys, don't be sad you didn't get an extra rare deck, be glad you were able to get this beautiful deck!
-
Apparently I missed a detail on these. I thought that they all had the embossing on the tuck cases, but that seems to not be the case. Is that what the whole black label thing is about? All the pics I ever saw of the deck had the emboss, so I thought that was the general release.

Something similar happened to my Tendril decks and I had to carefully examine them all to weed out the ones that got messed up in finishing. A shame they didn't look through all that before shipping them out.

Are you implying scamming them by lying and saying your package was damaged, or that you were missing decks/cards?
If so, just know that this kind of practice is what leads to customer service policies like forcing people to ship back decks at their expense. All it takes is a few people trying to get free stuff for a good customer service policy to be ruined for everyone else.
And keep in mind with a small company like DB or T11 or E, the scamming is easily reflected on their revenue each month, and who suffers? I guarantee you it's the employees who strive to make your experience a good one. When there are constant fake complaints on top of real ones, you can bet your butt they get pay cuts, get fired, put on probation, etc.
Then again, your post was hard to comprehend so I may be out of line presuming that's what you want to do. :P

I was sitting next to David at his office when his staff was investigating a similar, fraudulent claim - two people in two different parts of the world submitted damage claims with the exact same photo. Their policy is that if they believe your claim is bogus, they ban you from ever purchasing from them again.

Serves them right if they wanna be ignorant and take advantage of a company that made a product for them in the first place. Some people......I tell ya.

Wow I am not supporting scamming for free decks but if you are going to do it smart. dont use a pic someone else is using. the only time I ever had a messed up deck I just had to tell them and they sent me one (skulkor). I would feel really wierd trying to scam someone for a deck.
-
woah don't give me hate but what if it actually does happen? Are the odds of a defected deck really low, because I really dont believe the blue artifice thread that was posted it seemed a bit to fishy to me that a deck like that was printed and sent out.

No one's giving you hate. We're discussing a SIMILAR situation involving a fraudulent claim, as I mentioned in my post, and that's what people have been discussing.
I've seen a few impressive screw-ups, even for decks made at Q1 quality, the best quality control that USPC offers. Most are simple, like cards cut badly off-center - I've had that in version-one Red Crown and Gold Seal New Fan Back in white. Sometimes it's something more impressive, like the time I bought a plain ol' pack of Bikes and there was a gouge going through several of the cards in the deck, as if at some point in the process the sheet on the web press was scratched by something accidentally. I had a deck of Primes that had a cut in the box under the cellophane. There is nothing that would surprise me in regards to manufacturing errors that are possible in the production of playing cards, especially cards made in high volume (high volume = more opportunities for mistakes).
When contacting the company involved, especially if it's one of the better-known brands, you usually find great customer service. I've been exceptionally lucky.
* I contacted David Blaine's office about a mixed-up order and a couple of dented Variety Boxes; I ended up meeting him and his creative team for a few hours at his office, where he personalized his signature on one of my Variety Boxes - the only one to receive such treatment - as well as being given a personalized, autographed uncut sheet of blue Split Spades Lions, a sheet that you really can only get from David himself, since none are ever made available for sale.
* I contacted Lee Asher about a mistake on his page about dating a USPC deck; not only did he send me two uncut sheets of his Fournier 605s, but I also ended up driving on Memorial Day weekend with my fiancee to Toronto for a few days, meeting not just Lee but two of his best friends - Tom and Judy Dawson, co-authors of the "Hochman's Encyclopedia of American Playing Cards". Tom traded me two vintage decks for signing up for his card collector's organization! One of those decks was over a hundred years old.
* I contact the Blue Crown about that misprinted card from a Red Crown v1 deck, I ended up going with my fiancee to their first anniversary party in midtown Manhattan, got to meet Alex Pandrea (who not only personally handed me a replacement but showed me a great way to use the misprinted card as a gaff) and Kevin Reylek, did some "celebrity watching" among dozens of other attendees, several magicians and even one of the Buck twins, and now I'm still in contact with them regularly, shooting the breeze about TBC/HOPC and project ideas.
I've had one or two other similar "special event" things happen just by getting in touch with companies about issues, but those are most of the highlights! And I honestly have nothing to say but great things about all of the people I've been in touch with (and in some cases, met) as a result.
But back to the topic at hand. The White Lions Series B Blue...
I actually received a shipping confirmation earlier today about the four decks I ordered. Didn't expect that. I thought they didn't do shipping confirmations, but I'm old and my memory was never that great to start with... :)) It's possible they've done them all along and I just don't remember getting any.
-
yea i got my shipping confirmation as well and i saw an unboxing on youtube of a brick and nothing special, I wonder if you ordered a pair if you would get the collection box thing. Really want one of those look really nice.
-
Wow, after hearing about the bruised tuck boxes I'm kinda worried about my own order...
Were the cards shipped in a foam peanut filled box or just a brick box with postage info stuck on it? Cause it's happened both ways for me, and let's just say that the latter usually results in plenty of dents :(
-

hey Paul, I bought a brick and only one had no embossing, like it didn't even say white lions at all, is that what yours is like??
-

I had the same problem! 7 had a tear under the cello and one was so bad you could see the cards. I emailed customer service though, we'll see what happens.
-
I got my 6 yesterday and just now noticed that 5 of them have the same tear everyone is talking about.
-
Well if everyone gets the same response i did about my decks with lack of embossing it seems you will have to send all damaged decks back to db, which i might add must have moved because the address is in Connecticut.

It's possible they're shipping from a warehouse out there. I doubt he'd move his offices that far, though - he lives in Brooklyn and his office is in lower Manhattan; he could practically walk to work if he felt like it. I know he has a motorcycle, and I've seen where he could park it just outside of the office without worrying about anyone tampering with it.
-
just got home today and opened my box of white lions today and had a dent in my brick box, no biggie until i opened the box seeing a deck has been like dented quite bad but inside only 4 cards were dented, i sent customer service an email, how long should i expect to wait for a reply?
i was on vacation
-
They replied mine within a day. So you shouldn't have to wait long.
-
starting to receive mine im loving the changes from the other deck i like the tulip in one of the hands and that really twisted up beards funny theres one card i liked more on the v1 it looked like the buck twins heres some pics of the deck anyway
