So, as you know (or are about to learn), Ellusionist is giving away special playing cards with every purchase - the more you buy, the more you get. Match these cards into poker hands as listed here (http://www.ellusionist.com/promotion/cards) and you can get prizes as listed here (http://www.ellusionist.com/christmas-2012-prizes).
So, maybe you got doubles, or even triples, and you don't need them. Maybe someone else has the cards you DO need. Put up a post RIGHT HERE, and maybe you guys can make each other happy and claim some of those prizes! Post cards you have that you're willing to trade and cards you want in exchange. Cards don't necessarily have to be traded one-for-one, either - that's up to you. I mean, if you're going to get a prize and the other person's getting one as well, who cares how many cards you traded for however many cards you needed to get there, right?
For the duration of Ellusionist's holiday contest, I'm going to keep this as a sticky topic! Per the forum rules, post your trades on this topic before you execute them.
And, for the record, gang - those rare cards in each set exist in MINUTE quantities! Which is to say that there is exactly ONE corresponding to each prize in each tier. Don't hold your breath that someone will trade that card away! But if you happen to have that lucky, rare card, trading for the common ones you don't have is the best use of this topic. Unless you don't want the prize and would rather trade the card for something else.
Lastly, as confirmed by Jake (Xntrix) from Ellusionist, you MUST HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED CARDS to claim the prize. No substitutes, photocopies, computer scans, digital photos, etchings, negatives, promissory notes, letters from Mom that your dog ate it, etc.
Here are the cards needed for each prize. Any card suspected of being the rare card in a particular hand/prize tier is highlighted in red. If it's a tossup between more than one card, they're all listed in pink. You can't make card substitutions to make the hand - you have to have these exact cards.

Just want to say I think this is a fantastic idea. I need the 9 of Spades card. Hey Guys,
Just as a heads up - whilst we don't have a problem with cards being traded - we'd almost even encourage it - just be aware that at claim time you will require the original cards to redeem your prize. So scans, photocopies or hand-sketched post-it notes will not be accepted - please ensure that if you're trading, you're trading with/for the original cards you received.
Also - and it goes without saying as most of you know how trades work - be aware of scam trades. Make sure you receive what you paid/trade for. Ellusionist (and I'm sure AetherCards as well here) cannot be held responsible for any problems with trades.

Thanks, Jake - we always appreciate your insights and those of other Ellusionist staff members. We have a decent system in place for vetting traders in order to reduce the chances of getting gypped.

The chances of winning are astronomical, but worth a shot. I might as well TRY to find the 9 of Spades instead of just figuring "hey, the odds I have of winning are basically nonexistent, so why even try?"

I would never discourage anyone from trying to find that one rare card - but the odds of someone wanting to trade it away are small at best.

In addition, there's the smaller prizes. Some people might not be interested in one item on the lower end of the prize ladder, but could be interested in something else.

If by "trade" you mean trading away the rare card for the not-so-rare card, no.
If you instead mean that they have that rare card and want to trade for the other cards needed to get the prize, then yes.

I just had my Ellusionist order come in today, and I've got some cards I am willing to send to you guys. I have:

I hope that order you're talking about isn't being placed in January. Read this little bit o' fine print from the contest FAQ:
Q. So, how long have I got?
A The promotion runs from the 23rd of November, 2012 until the 31st of December, 2012, 12pm EST (providing the Mayans weren't right, obviously.)
So you have until noon on New Year's Eve to get your pieces...less if the Mayans were right.

I couldn't find a posted deadline, but they did announce that unclaimed prizes would be given away in a second-chance contest.
