Awesome alliteration in the title if I do say so myself.

Found this on Instagram posted by Madison himself.

That red is incredibly seductive ;) really hope they changed some minor detail though instead of just a colour change!

Wednesday at 2PM EST. This deck was first teased in March on Revelations video.

I wrote about it here: http://tuckcase.com/2013/07/14/news-daniel-madison-and-ellusionist-tease-and-confirm-madison-scarlet-rounders/ (http://tuckcase.com/2013/07/14/news-daniel-madison-and-ellusionist-tease-and-confirm-madison-scarlet-rounders/)

I have a feeling this is going to work similar to the Scarlet Dealers. Only a limited supply being released to the public. The countdown looks to be for an extensive Madison video production. The promotion is most likely buying the Madison production at $60 - $90 and getting one scarlet Madison Rounders deck. Its Madison though... I'm sure whatever the video production is going to be, it will be damn good. Madison's attention to detail is uncanny. The guy is red hot right now.

i feel like making these limited would be a bad move on E's part. These will sell just as much as the black so why not make as much $$$ off them as possible. just mho though

Hey, did I not create a post about this "red rounders" but quite a few people said "no, got it wrong, it wasn't red rounders, it was a Wynn deck"?!

Yes... and that eventually got turned into the red dealers thread.

Is it just me or is the countdown timer on Ellusionist.com no longer there?

It's just you, but the video is acting buggy.

Well, now we know the deal on the deck.

It's available 4pm tomorrow, unless you're in the Black Club, in which case you can buy it now.

It's a freebie - you get it if you pre-order Daniel Madison's "Mechanic" DVD, which includes a free download.  Your order has to be in before the release on the 31st or no deck.  Black Club members get two decks, and the first hundred orders got one of them signed by Mr. Madison himself.

Print run is only 2,500 decks.  Odds are they won't run out on this promotion - these will almost certainly be offered again sometime down the road as a freebie, like all the other freebie decks before it.

Mechanic sounds genuinely worth it if you're into gambling demonstrations - or just want to fleece your buddies.  But since I'm not the fleecing type, I plan on just showing off!  :))

One last thing - since it's a pre-order, ANYTHING that you order with it will not ship until the entire order is ready, meaning no earlier than the end of July.  Good to know if you planned on combining the order with some other gear.

I just ordered Mechanic + My free scarlet rounder. I can confirm that once you check out you are told that it does not ship until after July 31st. The price is still 59.99 for today. I don't know if that price is only for today or if all Ellusionist items that go on sale always say "SALE TODAY"? Technically, tomorrow will be Today at some point, so its always going to be correct. I would get it today if this is strictly an early bird price. Would I have paid 79.99 for this? ...Most likely. I'm glad I didn't.

From 12:15 am to 1:55 am I press F5 key constantly...was very hard to acquired a signed deck. I was in the first 100 BC members and I am glad that I got mine. It was loooong 5 or 6 hours waiting for the email from E. Will see after 31th July. I paid 56.99+41.21 shipping and taxes (16$ taxes :( ) so it was ~103$ : DVD and two decks. Shipping costs are very huge. I paid shipping costs for a package close to this one with tracking number from US to Europe, close to 20$.

Before the video went live yesterday, earlier in the week, posted on the e website there were some still pictures that were revealed slowly over a few days themed for the secret reveal. One night the pictures showed the backs of what looked like Madison Dealers in a blackish color. The pictures then vanished and are not the ones on the site now. Did anyone else see the pictures that I am talking about?

Anyone get any promo codes to work for their order?

I'm still wondering what the scoop was on those dealers!

$60 is too high for me. I'd love to watch the video, but only as something fun and interesting, not to learn from. I am not a card shark. Besides like DM says, it' s not new info, I probably own every sleight, turn and twist he teaches - either from his own lecture notes, Expert at the Card table, Royal road or some other book I own.

I'll wait til this deck is released as a stand alone

Hey M_O

I don't think the deck will ever be sold as a stand alone. E is usually firm on their word.

I know that Madison even says that none of the sleights will be new, but i am very interested in his Madison grip. I also enjoy the way he does things. they are not overly complicated or hard; they are the simplest way to achieve the desired result which in turn makes the sleight very smooth and natural looking with practice.

I also believe that learning from someone with EXPERIENCE card cheating is invaluable if you are actually planning on using your knowledge for what it was intended; cheating.

Better to use it for magic demos.  You don't have to be a master cheat to spot a master cheat, and situations like that tend to go sideways and pear-shaped in a hurry...

this is very true if you are playing with people that actually know about cards. if you are playing with friends and friends of friends... it is much easier. it especially fun dealing out stupid good hands to other people so everyone else thinks that person is cheating.

The best part is when everyone has killer hands but yours is the apocalypse hand!  Gotta get those chips flying, right?  Do that one time in an otherwise straight friendly, neighborhood game and people will talk about it for days but are unlikely to suspect cheating,  To sell it, though, it really has to be an otherwise unremarkable night, even to the point of you losing some prior hands intentionally but not obviously, and not applying a single gambling sleight in the process.  For many mechanics, though, that would require more restraint than they'd be capable of mustering.  It's the difference between carefully applying oil paints to a canvas and slapping whitewash on a fence.

A few false cuts and a stacked deck and my friend ended up with a royal flush in hold em; they just freaked out and we all had a great time. But the best part about doing it with your friends is that even if you're learning, you can practise the moves every now and then (without the intention of dealing anyone a good/bad card) and not get caught. It's great for understanding laymen and doing the moves in heat. They never really pick up on anything...

Alex Stone says when he was learning to practice card cheating - he'd cheat at his local poker game, but he wouldn't cheat to his favor. In other words, he'd deal seconds to everyone and deal to himself off the top, but without knowing what cards he was getting. He'd only practice the sleight not the deception.

Interesting observation.

Daniel Madison at his question & answer session Thursday, July 25th, confirmed a Gaff Deck in the works. Daniel will be in the U.S. in a few weeks with Peter Mckinnon working on the project. Daniel was specifically asked about "MAGIC live" in Vegas when he first spilled the shenanigans. Daniel says he is NOT attending but would be in Vegas after working on the Gaff Deck project.

Daniel also confirmed his close-up pad seen on Revelations 28 would be available at some point. Supposedly, someone spotted a Laura London close-up pad, which Daniel explained was just a gift. With the increasing exposure of Laura in Ellusionist videos, does this insinuate that Laura is now under contract with Ellusionist and the possibility new releases for her will be in the near future?

He most likely got two of the same custom seal on all the decks.  It just makes more sense.  Some collectors, for reasons unknown, seek out manufacturer errors like that - something to do with rarity, like a misprinted postage stamp, mis-struck coin, etc.  I never saw the appeal of it.
