New project. A bit pricey for 1 deck. Invited Kristina to join the forums and provide some comments

You should mention to her that her illustration of the numbered hearts is missing a 6H with a second 5H in it's place just so she has a chance to right it on the campaign page.
I like them though, but yes, $25/deck does seem high. I wonder if she could get that price down lower if she had someone like Kings Wild Fulfillment helping her on the logistics? I can't remember if the shipping was included on that but that might be one area where she could save some costs. I can't blame someone from wanting to make some money in the process but that price point is likely to put a damper on funding.

Just added a $10 tier for 1 deck.
You now can get either 1 deck & a poster or 3 decks for $25.

Kristina posted on the UC forums as I had given her both links. After seeing some of the comments, she did lower the price to $10

The art is lovely, but the design isn't. There's a lot of tweaks to be made to make this into a functional deck as well as an attractive one. Every time I see a deck like this, it does feel like I could cut and paste from another topic to drop it into this one about all the wonderful ways it makes for great art but all the elements missing from the project to make it become great cards as well. I see it over and over, all too often.
I wish some of these artists would either hire a consultant or come to Kickstarter AFTER dropping by the card forums like this one to refine and hone their design. Heck, not some - ALL.
-
The back design could use some improvement imo.
-
Heads up for anybody interested, I see the project is in final 2 days and is now funded. There is also a MUCH improved back design, but I'm still confused on poker vs bridge size being used here as it appears bridge is focus of latest design updates. I'm on the fence at the moment myself.
-
Well, the artist was invited to stop by but opted for UC instead. I can offer suggestions 'til the cows come home, but if no one's listening, there's no point. She's made her goal and I wish her luck with the printing and fulfillment.
-
Interestingly, she stopped responding on UC at some point. She has not clarified whether the deck is poker or bridge sized, which is a non-trivial question. On the KS page, she has thanked the backers for helping the project get funded, she has not responded to anything else.
It's too bad, because while she was being responsive, she was getting both interest and feedback. Now, with this radio silence, I'm not sure what to think. I liked the direction the design was heading, but with the lack of communication on her side, I'm disinclined to jump on this bandwagon. If the project is fulfilled, however, I will happily pay after-KS prices for her deck. I'm just not willing to risk it upfront at this point.
Should she decide to respond before the project closes, I'm open to being persuaded to change my mind.
Kristina?

I did send her a message on KS about the size of the cards and she actually responded in a few hours with "The cards will be poker sized", but for some odd reason has never bothered to publicly state that. Take it for whatever that's worth I guess or direct ask yourself as well. It's also really strange that she hasn't provided any clarification of a number of questions or provided any meaningful update since the back redesign. I can see a number of plausible explanations for all of the oddities in this project, especially the funding as it's a 'cultural' deck a tribe or tribe owned casino could have gotten involved or semi-self funded to allow for even more direct sales later.
The price is low enough to take a risk if just one deck, but I decided even with the changes I don't need to add it to my collection. The index number is too close to the suit and it really bothers me, or at least that's the story I'm telling myself to stay away.
