I tried using the T11H3BA code at T11 to buy some tees and it said "coupon has been already been used by this customer". I tried using the E trick but I can't check out as a guest.

Yeah, I got the same problem. So I'm going to try making a different account instead.

I've already seen plain stainless steel Bicycle Rider Back clips, but not with the anodizing and engraving like this clip.  It wouldn't surprise me to see such clips for Tallys and Bees.

Hm. You're right. Well then, I really do hope they do a Tally-Ho clip like this!

I'll be posting them for sale, cash only, when they arrive.  Keep an eye peeled for them.  I'll give Discoursers first crack, then they go on eBay.

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, if it's an opened deck, then usually the handling is going to be a big giveaway, unless you've somehow managed to pick up a fake Jerry's Nuggets deck with brilliant handling. But usually, I've heard that the fake ones are shocking to handle.
But there are a couple of clues on the outside of the box, too. The seal isn't like a modern USPCC seal; its sides look similar to that of a stamp, with semi-circles cut into it. And the little wrap-around tag that you use to open the seal is red; if it's clear or anything other than just plain red, then it's a fake. Also, the obvious things like the fact that Jerry's were only printed in red and blue.
And then there's something about there being a little code on the inside tab of the box, so you'd have to use a knife to slice it open to see.

Good find!! I don't have any uncuts yet and at the moment I'm not looking to get any but the Erdnaseum looks really good  8) Thanks for sharing

Yeah, the Erdnaseum one really does look nice. And no problem! I thought there might be some of you who would appreciate it.  :)

I want to see this level of workmanship on future Porpers - it's stunningly attractive.  I'd buy this in a plain Rider Back box design!  Tally Ho would also be an awesome clip - two models for the two different backs!

Oh, wow. That would be an amazing idea. Tally-Ho Porper clips would look brilliant. I hope at some point, they do decide to do that. I won't be holding my breath, though...

Maybe if you asked him nicely, he'd go on a buying run for you non-domestic buyers and cut you a better deal that this eBay auction...
 ;D

Let's hope so!  ;D

Yeah I've looked at these but I don't care for "magic decks". I'd rather have regular decks with nothing extra about them

Yeah, I'd rather they weren't magic decks either. But, I've gotta have them for my collection.  ;) Then I'll have two out of the three Tally-Ho Split Spades, all the Split Spades Lions, all the Split Spades White Lions, both the Bee Split Spades, and all the Bicycle Split Spades!

233
I also posted a preview of the complete back design and each suit. Still working out a couple details but we are getting there. Just check the site. :)

Wow, they look amazing. I honestly can't wait to own one of these decks. Or three of them.  ;)

Playing Card Plethora / Re: What will happen to all the extra LTD Decks?

I asked them this question a few days ago, and they said that the remaining LTD. decks will be given away as contest prizes, or through 'Spend $X and get a free LTD. deck' offers.
Hope that clears things up.  :)

I own none at present, I have one uncut of Americana coming with my deck shipment, but I'm planning to sell it along with 144 of the 150 decks I'm receiving.

Phwoar, very nice. I missed the Kickstarter for the Americana deck...  :(

If the faces were custom, and there was a double-backer, then I'd display the front.
There's no need to see card after card of just the back design, when you could see the back design plus 55 other custom cards. If it was a deck like Fantastique (where the back designs are all slightly different), I might choose differently, but I'm currently more in favour of showing the fronts. I mean, look at the Curator deck, or the Fulton's Clip Joint deck. I'd much rather see the faces than the backs.

Oh shush, it's not going anywhere. When you're done, it will be here waiting for you. :)

Haha, yeah, I know. It just sucks that I won't be around for the very first release of it. :P But don't worry, once they're over, I'll be back and even more active than ever.

It isn't a big deal, but my slight OCD makes it bother me.

Haha, I'm surprised mine hasn't kicked in yet. I guess it'll be a bit more obvious when it's on a real poker size card, rather than an image on the internet.
Either way, I can definitely see where you're coming from. ;)

If I didn't hate all aspects of the Ask Alexander deck, or if this clip was for a deck I actually liked, I'd SO pick up one.

Haha, not a fan? I'm personally definitely not a fan of the blatant one way back design, although the one main thing that I can say is that I do like the front of the box. It's quite reminiscient of the Squeezers decks (bulldog and angel back), and I just think it's got a nice, 'vintage' style look to it. But you're right, I can't say that I'm the biggest fan of any other aspects of the Ask Alexander deck.

Ask Alexander and Erdnaseum Uncut sheets are available at the CARC website for $29.99 each (postpaid domestic shipping, international shipping is $11 each).
Just thought I'd let you guys know, in case any of you are uncut collectors, and/or fans of these decks.
I personally won't be picking up either of these, although I do love the Erdnaseum back designs, with the ambigram reading 'S. W. Erdnase' one way, and 'W. E. Sanders' the other way.

Edit: Sorry, forgot to add the links: http://conjuringarts.org/2011/11/erdnaseum-uncut-sheets/ (Erdnaseum uncut sheet)

Meh - seeing as how audiences see the porper clip during your performance, I wouldn't want such a weird one shown off. Who is Alexander? That's the question no audience member will know the answer to, and it just makes things seem silly. I do have to admit though, very nice choice of color!

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. But what about if you just want it so that you can keep your Ask Alexander decks in pristine condition, in a stlyish clip? If I had the money spare, I'd probably pick up one of these.
And yeah, the colour is a great choice.

This looks great for any fans of the Ask Alexander deck who are out there.
You can get Porper Clips that have been designed to emulate an Ask Alexander deck. They're a deep, crimson red colour, with the engraving in white. Looks awesome to me.
The best thing about it, if you order it from the CARC website, you can pick up an Ask Alexander Porper Clip for $39.99 (postpaid to the US), and you get 2 free Ask Alexander decks (one Cambric finish, and one Ivory finish).
Looks like a pretty nice deal, especially to big fans of the Ask Alexander deck.
Here's the link to pick up a clip from the CARC site; http://conjuringarts.org/2011/12/ask-alexander-card-clips/

I believe a Pinochle deck consists of all cards 9 - A (High card) and it has 2 of each suit of those cards. It's not pointless... They are used to play the card game Pinochle.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. And yeah, now I see why they're not useless. I made that comment back when I thought it was just a normal deck that was missing the court cards or something odd like that. Which is why I thought 'Why don't these Pinochle players just bother removing a few cards from a normal deck, rather than having to buy a special deck?'. But yeah, now I see that I was wrong.

Damn. I'd love to help out with posting and such, and I really am looking forward to the Discourse v2. But, judging from the ETA of it, it directly clashes with my GCSE mocks (for you non British people, they're basically important exams that you do at the end of high school). So, I don't suppose you could hold off the release for another 2 weeks after that, could you?
Nah, I'm just kidding. But I sure am sad to know that I'll be at my most inactive, just as the Discourse v2 comes out.

Ugh. Those single swap cards are seriously the bane of my existence.
On the topic, what exactly does a pinochle deck consist of? All I've heard is that it's a deck that's basically missing a few cards. Isn't that kind of... pointless?

and on the topic of 2012 do you guys say "twenty-twelve" or "two thousand and twelve" just one of those htings that interests me :)

Yeah, I saw "twenty-twelve". Less of a mouthful.
And happy 2012, everyone! Hope it brings a myriad of ridiculously cheap, great quality decks. Which also have amazing designs.  :)

Can't you just use the common deck in Sweden? You know, one that everyone will recognize.

I'm guessing they don't use it because it handles like crap, like every single deck in the UK. The only deck sold in shops in the UK that I've ever come across that isn't horrible at handling was a bridge size Waddington's Number 1 deck with Linen Finish. And after about an hour or two, they handle terribly aswell.

Ahem. Hate to intrude here, but I don't suppose anyone'd mind picking me up a set too?
Obviously I'd pay shipping and all. And I'd pay $10 for the set, so hey, there's a dollar in it for you.
