Playing Card Plethora / Re: chance to win jerrys nuggets/golden nuggets

The nuggets are opened ::)

still worth 20 dollars i want to feel them haha and not pay an insane price

Since they are opened decks, buyers have to consider their condition. If they are dirty and torn... well, still worth $20 I guess :-[ :-[

You reminded me that it's time to collect 2012's Wynn $8 chip :o :o

Dude, those are cute!  The pig looks like it's a still from the movie "Babe", and the bull looks like the bull statue on Wall Street downtown.

haha, I see. I know the movie, but... isn't that for kids? ::)
Here we also use bull and bear to describe the stock market.

Although that sounds really cool, it will be my first time so I dont really have a technique. Also my camera only allows me to record 10 minutes before I need to hit record again, so I wont be doing a fast foward thing most likely, although that would be cool.

Actually you need only film the preparation work and the first 10 cards if the purpose is to show the technique. But..good luck, I am not so optimistic. The edges are the weakest positions of a card, the ink gets into the edges easily and unevenly.

I can buy those decks and sell/trade them.
But it has to be at april. I am now on vacation in Thailand  ;)

I think I'll post a thread related to Japanese decks later when I'm back at Tokyo.

Now I strongly feel your Wynn collection is incomplete, you need something!!
such as the black Wynn|Encore decks ???

I guess it makes more sense to them if they kept the stock where there were printed and ship from there. Otherwise they'll have to put more money into shipping from US to HK, then the packaging for hundreds of orders (yes. probably not thousands). I wouldn't really say they were necessarily HIDING something, it's just they never really talked about their origin with the whole brotherhood thing going on.
If and only if the decks are made by USPC. ???

SkulkorZagan Zaz Hall Currently our carrier ships our order through USPS,  but we'll always try to negotiate and find the best offer for our supporters.
They may still say "finally we found a carrier that is better than USPS, so we don't use it..."

@sxjy0109 and @zaganh, actually I don't care about where the company is (or where it was registered). This is a matter of attitude. If they are in HK, please behave like Zenneth. Now I paid more than $100, and I still don't know where the company is (though not really important to me) and the name of the stock and finish.

I don't really care about where they are. Why? Because of the spirit of the brotherhood, it's one world now. The shipping fee of 3 decks are $13+ for all of us. (3 decks to Don is $13.94, and 3 decks for me is $13.49, USPS?)

I don't hate this deck, but... nothing special :-\

@Nathan, contact me, I can sell you one deck.

@Flourishes, he only wants one deck, please don't mind if I sell him. There should be other people who want more decks from you. ;)

Read a book.  The government migt have banned all the good ones, though.  Sucks to be in China, I guess.

Fortunately you don't know people in China can not connect to Google and YouTube.  :-X :-X :-X

I should get photos up of my Black Ghost deck.  I colored the edges using a variety of methods until I settled on Marks-A-Lot markers - they were consistently darker than Sharpie and both were better than using an ink stamp pad.  It'll give you a chance to see what they look like AFTER they've been colored and used for a while.

Another of my many weekend missions...

It's time to check your homework.

@sxjy0109 and @Nathan, if you were the sellers, I would not bid your items :P :P :P

I only bid on auctions with reasonably low starting prices or acceptable BIN prices. Please remember: buyers would like to pay the amount of money that they want, instead of the amount of money that sellers want.

When a seller sets a high starting price or reserve, the worst case is no one places a bid on it or the reserve isn't met. In other words, he have the chance to get high price, but he doesn't give buyers a chance to win it with low price. Clearly, this is an unfair game.

I've observed this interesting phenomenon for a period of time: if a seller lists his GN with starting price of $0.99 without reserve, the end price often goes to $90-110. If he lists the item with starting price of $80, it ends with no bidder.

Does anybody know how I can get my hands on a few of these Club Angle decks?  I've been looking on-and-off for a couple of years and the closest I've found is to go to an Australian Casino and purchase some used decks.  That is not currently realistic. :(

1. buy Lalita's handmade roses or its tutorial first
2. ask her buy some Club Angels for you

This is a great deal because you need not go to Australia.

Actually if Lalita can get these deck, I want 3 pairs too. But now I am helping her sell the roses, so I can skip to step 2.

A collector called Jeremy did some researches and found they are based in HK. He wanted to post the following pic but the account hasn't get approved yet.

Thank you, Jeremy.

YES, thank you, Jeremy!  I knew they weren't U.S.-domestic, and I strongly thought I saw Hong Kong somewhere when I ordered...  Now we know what the deal with the shipping is.  I still remember the huge shipping I paid on the Bike Clot decks I bought from Clot Designs, Ltd.

Do you remember that sxjy0109 tried his HK address and found the shipping fee to HK was more expensive than to Canada. What do they plan to hide?  ??? ???

Lalita didn't think they were a big deal because in Japan it's a common deck, akin to Bikes in the States.

Actually they are :P
They might be the best decks made in Japan so far.

These decks are Club Angel v2:
v1: http://asupa.exblog.jp/8066018
v2: http://asupa.exblog.jp/11320445/

Shoot Ogawa brought these decks when he held lectures in Taiwan. Now they are still available in his magic bundles. The price for a deck is almost the same as Bikes in Japan (that is ¥600-630, much more expensive than in US). I ever got some from friends in Japan but then gave them all away to friends here :'( :'(

The stock of Blades is somewhat soft if compared to XCMers/cadists' all time favorite deck, Tally Ho. However, "we are talking about playing cards, not dick" said de'vo :-\

Hey, am I the only one who thinks he is humorous? :-[ :-[

at least the front of the box looks awesome haha i really like the box i wish it was the other way and i loved the cards more and hopefully the handeling and stock will be awesome too if it is like the white lions or more slick and spring ie as they say

The boxes are not good enough. Look at those T11 boxes (Monarchs, Chrity:Water, ...), they don't have white cut edges. I noticed the white edges of the Skulkor boxes when first time I saw the pics, not good enough... :'(

Uncut sheets were rare and special 3 years ago, I do understand why they're expensive. However, nowadays every new deck has its uncut sheets for sale, uncut sheets are no longer rare. :'(

This is a very funny question!! Just like what I see on UC, many Singaporean sell items there and note "SG only".

slyS, don't you know there are many playing card forums in China?

You don't honestly think that many non-Chinese speakers buying the Chinatown deck actually took the time to remember the characters for "dragon", do you?   ;D

"龍" (dragon) happens to be a very difficult character for non-Chinese speakers, I guess they can only remember its outline and someday might confuse it with "能" (the auxiliary verb "can" in English).

You reminded me that it's time to collect 2012's Wynn $8 chip :o :o

I always thought Lance Miller's Gargoyles were the second.  We all know the first: Gold Arcanes.

Were all of De'vo's Blades made with Magic Finish?

Actually I don't know which deck is the first one. Many of my friends are his fans, but not all of them can read English, so I noticed every message issued by de'vo before and after he released the Blades. I remember well he mentioned the Blades used a new finish from USPC and it's the 2nd deck, but still don't know which one is the first.

The stock of Blades is somewhat soft if compared to XCMers/cadists' all time favorite deck, Tally Ho. However, "we are talking about playing cards, not dick" said de'vo :-\

From May to Oct last year, I focused on other interests and didn't pay attention to playing cards, so I don't have any deck released within that period, such as other editions of Blades, TBC decks, E Artifice decks, etc. :(

Someone could probably add on to this, it's just on top of my head. ;)

There's one thing you don't know... they were free in the convenience stores by CNY ;D ;D
I got too many, so...

I thought the buyer (in UK) of this Bicycle Holiday set might like them. At least D&D has taught many people the Chinese word "龍" (dragon) :-\ :-\
