« on: December 19, 2011, 07:51:59 PM »Try a Gambler's Deck. It's stripped, marked and stacked. You don't need to memorize the whole stack if you don't want to - the marks on the top card will tell you the bottom card. I use this to great effect in some tricks - people don't claim your deck is marked because you never saw the back of their card!
Now there's a great idea. Having the top card show what the bottom card is! Although of course, it would make it impossible to shuffle the deck. But I'd settle with a few false cuts and the like.
When you say 'a Gambler's Deck', are you talking about Richard Turner's Gambler's Deck (the only deck I know by that name), or just a general deck used by gamblers? If it is Richard Turner's one, I didn't know it had marked backs! I'll have to check that out. Otherwise, it'd be great to get a link to some information on this deck/where to buy it.

If you check out as a guest, you can use magic10 however many times you want! And well, there's a list of the codes in the first post here. So, if you haven't heard of any coupons yourself, just go check 'em out.

Yeah, mine say Air Cushion Finish too. They're from either '08 or '09. But isn't that just Bicycle's odd terms? That you need to say on the box that it's Air Cushion Finish, even if it isn't. Although, I'm not too sure how the Masters or Ghosts managed to get around that. But I think that's the reason why the 1800s say Air Cushion Finish on the side, although I'm not too sure.

These fans look great, especially using the Red Artifice cards. It gives it a different kind of beauty. Although, maybe that's purely because Red Artifice decks are so rare. Either way, they look great, but as a deck collector I won't be getting one.

I'm pretty sure that's just a jumbo index uncut, only showing the back. That's the only conclusion I can come to, seeing as the USPCC have said that they don't sell uncut normal rider backs. But maybe he got some kind of deal? I'm not sure.

Yeah, I read somewhere that these coins and the new TBC deck were made by the same designer. I spotted the heavy coincidence a while ago with the first playing card pictures on this post, I think.

« on: December 19, 2011, 07:29:38 AM »The older decks, be they UV500 Air-Flow or Air Cushion, didn't handle very well. I think it had something to do with the inks used in creating the aged look not playing nice with the coating. Newer decks made with Perf Coat handle slick as glass, just like any other recent Perf Coat/Magic Finish deck. To my knowledge, though, they haven't made any 1800 blue decks with Perf Coat yet, or at least that's what they were saying a few months ago. That may have changed - only someone here like Marcus or Jake would know for certain.
Ah, okay. Thanks a lot. I'd love to pick up a new Performance Coating 1800 deck. I love the design, but hate the handling. I'll make sure to get one soon.

I totally agree. I love the Jerry's Nuggets design. Although, maybe that's just because I associate it with a Jerry's Nugget deck. But either way, I think it's a really nice, simple design.
