Making people think they are based in the US (well he never said that, but we all assumed it)...

If they are not in US, they had to say this when one of their brothers came to this forum. Up to now, I still don't know the stock and finish of the decks. Similiar to White Lion is the answer... damn, somehow I want to cancel the order... :'(

I wouldn't cancel if I were you, but saying "Similar to White Lions" is no awnser. I'd rather him say "It's our own secret blend" or something like that

Do you know what I worry about most? They don't even say which stock and finish were used, I worry that they might not be made by USPC. I don't know, I just don't feel good.

"which in our opinions are the best handling/performing decks on the market."

And in my opinion the moon is made of cheese.

The Blades handle wonderfully, no doubt about that, but so does literally every other USPCC deck with the Magic/embossed finish with Aristocrat stock.
Blades decks use Magic finish and aristocrat stock?

IMO, Blades is not Aristocrat stock, not that good. But Blades uses Magic Finish and it's the 2nd deck that was applied this new finish. Or more accurately, it uses early (experiemental) Magic Finish.

@Don, actually WhatIsMagic2011 had sold out his Firars Club decks few days ago on UC. He's just too lazy to update the status here. :P :P

Wow! From 1929! Thats going to be pretty expensive
No, no one would pay more than $30 for it.

The auction ended without a bidder. ;)

That's not entirely accurate.  The eBay page says:

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."

It looks like he may have sold it privately outside of eBay.

I kept watching this auction, it was ended few hours earlier than the end time ???
If he sold it outside the eBay, it is still impossbile to sell it more than $30. Maybe $5 :o :o (kidding, but he might relist it with a very low starting price later I think)

Funny, I just mentioned Virtua Fighters yesterday to jmrock. We are too old to play these new video games like you teenagers :P

Sometimes I show him pics of famous girls here, and it's funny to see he go crazy then. Yesterday I showed him this pic:

This girl belongs to the special service team that protects our first lady. People found her often appeared beside the first lady on TV, soon boring people started searching her personal profile.

Why did I mention Virtua Fighters while introducing her? Because I showed him another video that was taken when they practiced the Ba-Ji (or Ba-Chi) martial art. And Ba-Ji is used by Akira Yuki in Virtua Fighters :P :P

I enjoyed the trailers but a good flourishing video would have sufficed, I'm not too keen on the whole brotherhood thing, it's an interesting idea but not something that I would feel much apart of anyway as they put a heavy empahsis on magicians and Im not one. Maybe I'll get a deck sometime donw the line but not from the site.

I am interested to know though so can someone explain what the difference is between the red wax seal deck and the regular deck?

The first trailer was cool and surprising, the 2nd trailer was still not bad, the 3rd trailer was boring to me. I appreciate the lighting, camera movement, filming skill, special effects, etc, but I don't really like the story (somewhat meaningless), not to mention the clumsy fighting motion design (so sxjy0109 and Don, they are impossible in Hong Kong...).

I don't expect there will be any difference between the wax sealed deck and the regular ones :'( :'(

Actually several of my friends said this is a variant of the Arrco joker and unfortunately that's why they don't pledge this deck :'( :'(

where in taiwan? are the decks in them for sale??

The breakfast shop is in Tao-yuan County. I don't know if they are for sale, but I guess not. It is obvious that they are the boss's collection. I won't ask him such an impolite question.

@jmrock, one thing you are right about -- he's getting old. I have almost all of his tuturial videos, from these videos I find age is turning his hair white.

@Don, you should send a pair of Club Angels to him. His deck looked dirty in the video.

@cosmicsecret, maybe it's because in the East we don't use wax seal.

The shipping fee for a brick is also $31 to me, but buying a brick lowers the average cost per deck ($115 / 12). I can resell some of them without a problem. :P

I think we will all know when we got the package.
But I think I didn't see any currency converter when I order mine.

Neither did I. USD to USD  :)

What's wrong with 8pm PST? I know it's 12PM in GMT+8 (for China, Hong Kong and Taiwan), but I remember there have been releases at 8pm PST. Correct me if I'm wrong.

D&D like to release their items at 8pm PST. These silly brothers released their items at 8pm PST to pretend they're in US. That's why I said they are boring guy... ??? ???

At least we know they are not in Europe. 8pm PST is a European unfrinedly time.

Interesting. How did you come up with Hong Kong?
I just tried to check-out with a Hong Kong address and it gave me a shipping quote higher than that of shipping to Canada. I don't think it's Hong Kong. Unless maybe they've got a warehouse in US to ship out the decks, while their headquarter's based in HK.

At least they are not in US. These boring guys pretend that they are in US and started selling items at 08pm PST.

@Don, I checked the shipping for 3 decks to me is $13.49 too. You might be right.

I ordered a brick, will keep the wax sealed and 2 normal ones, then resell the rest. :-[

i asked about stock and finish

i asked them what stock and finish they said

  • Zagan Zaz Hall what finish and stock is this deck ?
  • Skulkor Illusion They've changed the name for the finish and stock recently. Have you used White Lion before?
  • Zagan Zaz Hall yep i have the white lions is it the same as them ?
  • Skulkor Illusion Very similar, but in our opinion, a little more slick and spring-ie.

I decide not to buy the deck unless they may describe the name of finish and stock well and there is an actress in the video. :-X :-X

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Bicycle Actuators - Uncut sheets!
« on: February 25, 2012, 02:45:15 AM »
I hope it's not $18, like how D&D charged me for each v6 uncut. I don't get why they didn't ship it together, and had to charge me $36 for shipping two.  :-[

Some people want to have 2 tubes, it is convenient for them to resell the uncut individually. (I am not kidding, some of my friends complained to D&D and asked them not to ship uncut sheets in one tube)

S&M V5 are only about at that price, and they're sold out. $95 for an uncut that's not even released yet? Hmm...

Though I don't remember well, I am still sure S&M V5 was less then $50 (maybe $49.9 or $39.9 or $29.9) when they came out.

@VortexHead, good clip too.

@Dazzleguts, I don't have the clip. Yes, it is a Joe Porper clip and pattern is electroplated coated on it. If I remember right : there were only 2 of these clips produced (ordered by the Buck twins). Don't worry about the price, we don't have the chance to own them...

I don't think USPCC was responsible for producing any card clips. Not back then, not now.

Any suggestions who might have made them?

Though I like your clips, but I want the following one most...

The Expert At The Card Table Clip made by Joe Porper.

This deck is made in Japan. It can be fanned, nice quality. Not as slippery as the USPCC deck.
There are red and blue version of the deck.

I knew, I have some. Shoot Ogawa often uses this deck.

I posted the question because a friend asked me what's the deck in this morning and I could not answer him.  :-[

SKULKOR NEWS ON SHIPPING RATES:
"Our current rate is flat for better value since most brothers have purchased our Royal Package and other items in bulk. The size of uncut sheet alone costs more than the flat shipping. For small orders, we will have new direct checkout buttons in EXPRESS CHECKOUT. You will be able to purchase items that go into small parcels for rate accordingly." - Skulkor

They are forcing customers to purchase the Royal Packages. :-X :-X

I will buy this deck but not today. Just like D&D ChinaTown, I believe 1-2 weeks later I can get it with acceptable price on auctions here. I love those professional dealers. :-X
