I want to point out that the decks are not from T11. The cancelled versions are actually sold all over the place here for $2 a pop.
Brown wynn at 2$??? Really?

Brown Wynns were never used on the gambling tables, so there is no cancelled Brown Wynn.

I now see on eBay from overseas Green, Black, & Purple (perhaps the same as Violet) Wynns...

They are fakes, made in China. There are many minor differences on the boxes and cards. They are garbage here.

Wow! From 1929! Thats going to be pretty expensive
No, no one would pay more than $30 for it.

Let's save up for the Owls >:( >:(

What are the Owls?

@phantom1412, I want those decks too, but maybe 1 or 2 decks and will open and use them. Now I just hope the faces of the owl cards are good enough.

Rainbow back is good, originally I thought of a white or black back. You know, the color should not resemble any of the 52 cards, it have to be outstanding among them. :)

EDIT: if your rainbow back is not special enough, I will use a marker pen to paint it black. hahaha :P

Is there any gaff card? a double backer with different colors?

Yes, a gaff, double backer, blue on one side, rainbow on the other, I went round and round with the jokers and other gaff ideas trying to make the most of the gaff card(s).  After a ridiculous amount of thought and indecision, I settled on this double backer, due to the creation of a new, strong and easy to do rainbow deck routine.  The rainbow double backer fits perfectly in the routine. I created the routine this morning and love it! Sent the artwork to USPCC this afternoon.

Glad to hear this, the double backer is exactly what I want. Hope we are not thinking about the same trick (so that we may have 2 different tricks). Will your tricks come along with the deck, or they will be sold separately?

We're now in the midst of a period of upheaval in the market, with new technology in the form of CGI and CAD, the advent of Magic Finish and the custom deck - call it a Renaissance, if you will.
hahaha... I will, actually I did. I'd said this many times on my blog before people started talking about Magic Finish. I practice card sleights hours a day and I well know the differences since 10 months ago.

Awesome thanks for the picture! I missed that photo. I'm not sure what I think of the box yet, it's very different.

I'm pretty sure that is an owl. At least it looks like an owl to me haha
Yeah very different, it has comic style stokes. We have seen too many geometric patterns, machines, gear wheels, robots, and skulls, we need to see some lives >:( >:(

I meant these decks too.

I knew, you mentioned owls. I don't know what animal is on CBJ's pic ??? ???

Isn't that lion?

Oh.. it's a lion :-[
If it is the face of this deck, I have to reconsider how many decks I should buy :-\

Are there many pictures of these cards out? I've seen the first picture that CBJ posted but that's it. I wouldn't be able to say how many of a deck I would buy without seeing it, and many people are talking about how many they might buy... Just wondering if I missed something?
I just saw CBJ's pic, now I am afraid we are talking about different decks :o :o :o
What I want to buy is this one: http://love.youthwant.com.tw/4/book_readz.php?stud_id=100123572&b_id=2537&p=2545&ftype=9

But Richard Turner... C'mon he really is the master.
You make me laugh  :P :P
If you like Turner, you should also like Steve Forge, Jason England, etc. Oh... they don't know karate.

I know I'm really loving the look of the deck! What do you all think?
Me too, but I already posted what I thought on UC and feel tired to copy them. :-[ :-[
Anyway I will get 1 or 2 :P

@Don, I knew I could not express it correctly. I said "not worth collecting", but it doesn't mean "not worth to own them".

Collecting, in my language, has slightly different definition. We should spend time (to search, reserach) and efforts (maybe negociate with the former owner) to get an item, it is called "collecting" in my language. If I sit in front of the computer, hit the keyboard, and get an item after 2 days, it is called buying.

It is still true to say there were not many decks produced in '90s worth collecting except: Holiday/Santa Backs, 1996 Olympics, '92 and '95 Tall Stacks. What else? As for decks produced after 2000, some of them are wonderful, but it is not diffilcult to get those decks. I have many of these decks, I just paid and got them. I don't say I "collect" them.

This might be off topic. I like many modern decks, they are beautiful and have good quality. However, I only buy those I like instead of all decks produced in these years. I've seen many so called collectors buy every newly released deck, normally buy 2 decks -- 1 for collection and 1 for use. I respect their choices, but it is not my way of card collecting. Maybe they want to build a museum of playing cards in the future ??? ???

I don't have any deck from the Blue Crown, but this one I will get 1 or 2 bricks :-[ :-[

It's £50, that's about $80USD
I knew, so I said a compromised number : $50.
£50 is too much, but £20 is unfair to the seller as well.

@ItsMagicITellYou~, thank you for your sharing the information. Originally I thought it was too good to be true.
@Don, thank you for your confirming with the seller. I bought 2 bricks after that.
@jmrock, thank you for your help. You should have bought 200 bricks, hindsight is always 20/20. hahahaha :P :P

BTW, I don't have Jerry Nugget either because they are still available 10 years later at the same price as now. :P :P

@Don, I said "special handling", not "best handling" ;)

I like modern decks and I often buy bricks of the decks I like (black Stingers, Charity: Water, Wynn, Tahoe reprints, ...). They are cheap and good for handling. But the decks produced in '60-80s have special handling that can not be reproduced anymore.

« on: February 17, 2012, 02:54:13 PM »
Yeah the gilded edges on that deck do look nice, although I wonder how they affect the handling? Overall it's a nice looking deck of cards! Will the non metal edition have the gilded edges? I'd be guessing no
Normally gilded edge decks are for collection. The non "special" edition shouldn't have the gilded edges, or it is hard to do XCM (anyway De'vo is the godfather of XCM...) ::)

@cosmicsecret, I hope it's Crown Altruism. I've been waiting for it so long. ???

It's around $35 in Taiwan, but I don't think $50 or more in UK is unreasonalbe. ::)
