Hey guys, Edo Huang and myself have designed a deck called Mantecore as a tribute to Siegfried and Roy's tiger as well as a modern alternative to the standard Bicycle deck.

This deck would feature custom backs, aces, jokers, pips as well as a younger, simplified and borderless courts.

Here are some pictures and we are looking at launching a campaign sometime in the middle of the year. We would be using Legends Playing Cards Company for fulfilment and printing.

More pictures would be revealed in the coming weeks. Follow my instagram instagram.com/siegismyname as well as instagram.com/edohuang for more updates about the deck.

Cheers,
Ben

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Durability of Magic Finish
« on: January 19, 2015, 12:35:20 AM »
My Gold Arcanes clump quite badly now but works fine after being "warmed-up" through shuffles and spring for half an hour or so. I've had them for a few years now and don't usually play with them though.

One of my favourite magic finish decks would be the Bee Erdnase Cambric Finish Black and Silver Acorn Backs from Conjuring Arts. They handle better with more use. I am looking to stock up more of those. If anyone has some for sale, you could PM me.

In all fairness, you can see them in the video pretty clearly, you know you have the ability to pause right? :p
here's some screenshots for you taken from the video, no zoom, hasn't been supersized or anything.

Exactly

Here are some clearer pictures that I found of the faces and the backs.

I also don't understand the angst. When people try to push the boundaries you people criticize. When people use "clip art" style or lazy designing u guys complain as well. Each company also have their own way of teasing and marketing their own product. I was only sharing what I can find from the net.

However, you can probably see from the video above that this pack of cards does not seem like a normal deck. Probably just a deck for cardistry usage, same function as a deck of banshees for practicing throwing cards. We will only know more when we actually get better photos or a proper launch though.

Indeed they are only used for cardistry and not card games.

The photo are meant to be blurry and incomplete(I suppose) as they are teasers that the New Deck Order(NDO) put out. But he deck can be seen in its full form in the videos I suppose.

Hey Don. Thanks for asking. The ones I am selling are the out-of-print ones from Ohio. They are the ones with the thick and sturdy stock and the old t11 logo

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / School of Cardistry Deck

Hey all,

I noticed this deck has fallen off the radar. They are brought to you by the same people who brought you the Cardistry of South East Asia (CoSEA) deck(which is sold out). This deck features something that is not commonly seen in the market. You guys can see what it is for yourself.

Text from their Facebook page:

"The School of Cardistry deck is completely hand-drawn by our artist, with inspirations from classic playing card back designs."

""What are those cards?"
We've probably been asked that question over a hundred times now and it's about time we talked. The cards that have been featured in our recent School of Cardistry tutorials, and some Cardistry videos involving Jaspas, is the School of Cardistry deck.
The School of Cardistry deck is our sincere effort in creating a deck 100% dedicated to the Cardistry community. With backs and faces that were designed to complement your performances, this deck is created to give your flourishes that extra edge."

I personally think this is a bold move that would bring the definition of playing cards to another level. They are also "safe" for you to bring to places where playing cards are not allowed, for fear of gambling(which I do not understand the stereotype), to practise all your moves and flourishes.

For now, here is a video of the deck in action by Singapore's Claudia Seow (https://www.youtube.com/user/Chinchillas96):

They are actually not on sale yet, but via the special link below, you can grab some for yourself before the official release. But that is if you can solve the password first :)

What are your thoughts?

I saw it at my local store. the store owner says that USPCC sent him 2 samples ahead of his order next month. He didn't even want to sell me his samples. He told me to wait for his actual order next month.

I had the pleasure of handling and seeing these in person today. I feel that the box is similar to the Hollingworth deck and it is printed inside as well with gold foil(didn't manage to take a pic of that). They do indeed have custom tweaked courts that feel and look deco.

65
Here are some more pics. Alex Pandrea's Instagram also has pictures of notable magician posing with the deck.

My good friend Edo Huang and Alex from The Blue Crown have teamed up once again for a new deck. Last time they conquered the seas now they have set sight for the skies. Kardify.com recently ran a 2 part exclusive on the deck to be released 28/11/14

Magical Cardistry Bonanza / Rest Room by the Vits and the Baks

I don't know if you guys have seen this. It was filmed a while back and includes many new never-before-seen, underground badass cardistry.

The idea first came up when Kevin Ho suggested that Rest Room would be a nice name for a parody and so this happened.

Hope you guys enjoy and check out other videos from the Vits.

I know this might be due to an edit. But there is still this possibility that it exists. Hands up if you think that it looks awesome. Maybe EPCC can chime in on this.
