Back when it was around $100, I thought it was so worth it that I bought two.
Since I collect at least that many of every deck they produce, it made it cheaper and easier.

Plus, they ship their decks safer than any other retailer. ;)

Playing Card Plethora / University of Chicago Playing Cards

Porting this over from the UC...

I was poking around Mr. Philip Cheaney's website (the designer of The Amazing Deck), and found photos of another deck he designed for the University of Chicago Alumni. Very cool looking cards using the University's stained glass windows and many gargoyles as inspiration.

Mr. Cheaney is not able to help acquire any. But over the last few months, I've been researching and negotiating with one of the University Bookstores that has contacts in the Alumni (where the cards are given away for a donation of $50).

Kevin Bendle is my contact. Email him at sm492@bncollege.com to purchase this deck of cards. They're $9.98 USD each.

Not sure if it's ok to link to the UC discussion on these. There's some useful info there, plus pictures.

First thing I tried. Sent an email. Got a response that there were no more, not even opened ones lying around. Wouldn't say how many were printed, or where.

I've been searching for the Friends of the Family box they had on the Royal Optiks KS for a while. Love that design.

The red would be the 3rd version.  ;)
1st was a blue 1-way with no cello and custom red & gold seals.
2nd was the blue 2-way we know and love, with cello and no seal.

So this is now the 4th incarnation of an excellent design. One of the few that I don't ever mind a re-color/re-release. 8)

This seemed to take off on another forum (that shall remain nameless). Thought I'd give it a shot here.
I apologize if there's already something similar here.

I thought it would be cool for everyone to post that one deck of cards they just can't seem to find.
...that one deck that consumes their dreams, and every waking moment.  :o (or not quite that)  ::)

You might be surprised what's sitting in a closet somewhere.
By letting the community know what you've been searching for, dreams could come true! 8)

We all understand this can change over time.
But until you find what you're after or lose interest, let's keep it to one White Whale per member.
It is a singular term.  ;)
