hmm...i used to manage the king cobra pretty constantly (first time i got it down was a moment of pure euphoria :) ).

but i find it hard to see it objective.

i practice pandora since the trilogy came out.
it looks/feels quite good but there is still room for improvement.

i can do the leno but not in any way smooth. *G*

i practiced miguel romans roman cut for a while and got it down a few times,
but this flourish is really a bitch.

my alltime favorites (in no particular order):
aladin 1001 smooth finish
tally ho
smoke & mirrors v4
wynn ( casino logo) they are crap for fans but great for cuts and awesome for sculptures.

at the moment i only have artifice emrald and the blue ones v2 but usually like to have a variety and switch decks for practicing because i get bored when i look at the same backdesign.

for magic regular bikes are imho the best ones.
because they handle well and don´t look suspicious.

when i was a kid i performed my own version of misled
(afair the same idea timothy wenk had in the first place)
to an old man in a bar.
Don't you see anything wrong here? ::)

ähm no? ...it was midday, i played pool there and had a meal with my mum.

when i was a kid i performed my own version of misled
(afair the same idea timothy wenk had in the first place)
to an old man in a bar.
well....when the pencil penetrated the bill the old man slapped me in the face.
i went on and restored the billl...the old man then broke out in laughter
and was glad that his bill was fine.

a few years ago i sat next to a guy and without even telling him
"look what i can do"
i let just casually float a cigarette in my hand.
and he went f****n bonkers and accused me of being with the dark side and stuff.
very weird.

i also remove the jokers and ad cards.
some people prefer to use less cards. it´s nothing wrong with it.
some people use a few cards more for practicing
so everything is a bit easier with 52 cards when performing.
or like already mentioned some use less cards to get used to new grips.

the deck i´m using at the moment the most  (for flourishing ) has 48 cards.
because i don´t care anymore if i don´t find every single card after dropping them.
(there are quite a few cards under the sofa, bed etc. :D )
i had a phase were the deck just didn´t feel right to me if a card was missing.

i guess over the years i got less serious about flourishing. which feels better.

if you don´t do it already this way, i suggest putting the thumb on the top right corner (if you´r left handed).

and it may help if the deck is away from the thumb base.
when your hand is open the deck should be near to the finger tips.
and then push it up (to the thumb) from underneath with your ringfinger, grab the lower portion with your middle finger and the upper portion with your thumb on the top right corner.

i hope that doesn´t sound too confusing.

and keep practicing.
when i started with flourishing i thought i´ll never be able to do a thumb cut because of my smallish hands. but gladly i was wrong. :)

i´m still not a pro at the thumb cut but i´m satisfied.
