Hi guys, I've been on this forum a while, and started collecting last year or so, but since then I've moved on from the whole playing card hobby, and as such will be selling off my entire collection. I'm from Singapore and will be shipping from there (obviously) but international buyers are welcome. This stuff is more or less priced reasonably low as I do just want to get rid of most of it, so the more you buy, the more I'm willing to throw in discounts. No low-balling though, please do understand that I want to make at least some form of returns on my cards.

I accept payment through Paypal only, and the option for Cash on Delivery for any SINGAPOREAN buyers.

Feel free to contact me (Karl) at either my email, siu_karl@yahoo.com.sg or through PMs. (email is a better though)

The cost for shipping most of these is as follows: (prices in USD)
1-3 decks - $6-8
4-6 decks - $12
7+ decks - Contact me for confirmation of shipping prices.

These are what decks I have to offer, the prices are not exactly final, I'm open to negotiations, and will gladly give discounts for purchases of multiple decks.

ALL OPENED DECKS ARE IN PERFECT CONDITION, shuffled maybe once or twice at max.
Unless stated, ALL DECKS ARE SEALED AND IN PERFECT CONDITION)
UPDATED: ALL SOLD DECKS ARE REMOVED

Tungstene Deck - $25

Magic-con v2 - $15
Set of 2 Monarch decks, Normal and newer Silver one - $12
Pr1me sketch deck with red(opened) and blue decks attached as a set - $20
Fan back(opened)and Circle back Tally Ho Vipers - $30 for the set
Theory 11 Black Stingers deck, 1 opened(from Kentuky) - $8
Set of 4 Arrco Tahoe Reprint decks (2011) (Black, White, Blue(opened) and Red(serialised and wrapped in foil)) - $30
Sentinel Deck - $5
2 DnD Fantastique decks (1 free opened one, if you want it) - $10
Bunch of Ellusionist Decks, all opened, (I'll probably keep these, but If you'd like them, just let me know - They're free)

Bunch of Assorted Open Decks, a boat load of them, I'll throw the good condition ones in for free at no added shipping cost as a sort of bonus for buyers :)

And that's about it, thanks for taking the time to look and if you have any further questions please ask away and if you require pictures feel free to ask, I'm currently a bit too busy to take individual photos but if you have something in mind and want to check, I'll take a few for you.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: NEW DECK- Ogma Deck from Skulkor
« on: September 23, 2012, 08:41:52 AM »
Yay, finally a deck that actually makes me puke, literally.

That back design is just a pain in the eyes, I literally can't look at it without getting nauseous.... I passed on the Skullkor, passing on these too, I can't imagine using these in a performance and having to stop half way to throw up :(

Playing Card Plethora / Re: NEW DECK -- Aurum from Encarded
« on: September 23, 2012, 08:32:55 AM »
The rarity of these was unintentional. I wanted the entire run to feature this, it simply wasn't possible. Just the laser cut eclipses the retail cost of most decks.

I haven't fully decided on a release method for these yet. :)

There's no doubt in my mind that these are going to be one of the most spectacular additions to playing cards in history, I am eagerly awaiting the release of these!!! I can only imagine the price tag on those, the artwork is just amazingly intricate and beautiful, I'd gladly pay $100 bucks for one of these works of art.

The only question I have about these is if the die-cut may make the box too fragile or that the little intricate details may tear off easily, they look quite flimsy in those pictures...

EDIT: Oh and is that embossing I see on the front of the box and is that embossing on the entire box?

4
Maybe everyone's just trying get in on the action, what with the recent trend of new T11 and E decks maybe the small companies wanna strut their stuff too? That said my wallet really can't keep up with these releases, there are way too many good quality decks out there and not enough money in my wallet. I probably can only afford to back 1 of these KS decks at a time as well....

5
The courts look like standard Arcco faces, and I'm looking for about $100 for the uncut, or a decent trade.

Playing Card Plethora / Metrodeck Playing cards

Hey guys, I stumbled across these while looking at interesting playing cars, these look extremely awesome, especially for anyone that enjoys the unusual :)

Its like high quality individually silk-screened cards, hand made in NY on old metro cards (hence the name). What do you guys think?

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Red Arcane and Red Artifice v2!?!?!
« on: September 10, 2012, 12:39:27 AM »
Damn, the red Arcane looks sick! Gonna be picking those up for sure, but I'm not all too sure my wallet can hold up to all these releases...

I would also guess that the v2 red artifice will probably be bordered, following the v1 - v2 pattern so far. As some others have said, this probably won't lower the v1's value by too much, but I'm sure the price will definitely take a hit.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Best Court Cards...?
« on: September 10, 2012, 12:34:39 AM »
If we're talking about standard faces, mine would be the Arrcos, I just think they look way more classy than the bike or bee standard faces.

If we're talking about custom faces.... I would have to go with the JAQKs or the Tungstene decks.

9
bidding style would be the best. top dollar takes home the item. 25 units meaning 25 auction at different times. this way everyone can join and have a chance to take home the item and it prevents people from buying a dozen and post on ebay for high mark up price. bidding system already makes the buyer paying top dollar thus adding mark up on ebay just would not sell at all.

I think that this is a terrible idea, no offence :), but this would just cause alot more people to be unhappy, and the guy with the most money would almost win... Plus, the price of the item would be so varied, and it would be pretty unfair if someone got it at say $100 while some lucky fellow managed to get it at $50. To me I think the email lottery seems most fair, especially if its a 25 item release. There should also be like some kind of spending requirement before getting to enter in the lottery though, not just 1 deck, like maybe at least 4-6 decks? Or you could do a price based thing like Ellusionist where after spending a certain amount of money you get the chance to buy the limited item.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Why the Hate for One-Way Backs?
« on: September 06, 2012, 06:02:59 AM »
As a collector, 1 way backs aren't the most appealing, but half the time that doesn't even matter since most collectors I know don't even open the deck anyways.... Personally I wouldn't use 1 way back decks for anything, unless its a subtle 1 way back.

I'm going to invent a new thing for collectors: The "Skippable Factor." It will be a scale from 0-100.

• 0 means there is no skippable factor, and you simply must acquire it at all costs. You'd sell your mother or children.
• 100 means it's completely skippable and you never want to see it again. Even thinking about it makes you slightly nauseous.

So, for me this deck has a "SF" of 94.
Lol that works. From now on, we will all use this!
Ditto on that, I give this deck an impressive 101 out of 100, it looks so cheezy and lame. This really is just another example of the now ridiculously saturated market pumping out sub-par novelty-esqe decks....

Playing Card Plethora / Re: New Dan & Dave Variety Box
« on: September 02, 2012, 08:56:51 AM »
I missed out as well, seems like Dan & Dave are getting too lazy to promote anything, This is the second release of theirs i've missed now because they don't bother to promote anything and by the time I find out it's too late. Oh well glad I saved my money since I already have most of those decks anyway, all except for one, which i'm sure I can find elsewhere if I want it.

They didn't promote it all over the place like all their S&M crap if that's what you mean, they did send out a 24 hours notice on twitter, so that's still gotta count.

I've also seen the Pit Hartling and Robert Graham deck else where, but I didn't really give them a second thought. I hope they're good though, I don't want some English Laundry situation with these decks....

I really do think this is the best money for value VB so far (besides the random JN VB at the start), glad I managed to get one :)

Playing Card Plethora / Re: NEW DECK: Theory11 Rebel deck
« on: September 01, 2012, 01:16:59 AM »
It was all good just a week ago,
jiggas feel theyselves
And then Rebels dropped,
jiggas kill theyselves

*6 people will get they*

Seriously though why are you all mad? The deck is beautiful with or without custom faces. If you seriously get this hurt and pissed over a few decks not having custom faces you need to go to a different hobby.

Yep couldn't agree more, custom faces aren't everything, it is clear from that badass intricate box design that there has been some decent amount of work and effort put into designing this deck, gotta give them some credit.... I personally will be getting 2 or 3, I really like the standard faces/ barely recoloured faces, they don't stand out or draw suspicion during performances and they are still classy as ever :) Also to all the collectors out there, what does it matter how the cards themselves look like, as a collector we rarely even open the tuck boxes, and if I were forced to stare at just the tuck, I wouldn't mind staring at the gorgeous design of the rebels :P Just my 2 cents.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: New Dan & Dave Variety Box
« on: September 01, 2012, 01:06:50 AM »
Just ordered mine, and I have to agree with Sieg, the total value of the individual decks add up to about $220 USD, so for $124 it's pretty dang worth it. Plus there aren't any crappy S&M v6's taking up precious space in that box :)

Playing Card Plethora / Re: White lions series "b" Red
« on: August 29, 2012, 09:58:31 PM »
I seriously think that Blaine should just release both decks at once, shipping costs are killing me... If he had released blue and red at the same time I would have gladly picked up half a brick of each color, but now I'll have to pass on the reds....

Playing Card Plethora / Re: NEW DECK- Silver Monarchs Deck from Theory11
« on: August 29, 2012, 09:41:09 PM »
I really hope this trend of re-colouring comes to an end, the market us just being flooded by these un-innovative decks. The White Monarchs looked good, these just look like a cheap attempt at sucking in more of our money.

« on: August 29, 2012, 12:10:46 PM »
Wow! Was not expecting much from this deck but it's actually looking pretty awesome! I agree with the whole custom courts deal, but I personally like just barely customized courts, keeps the feel of the deck familiar to spectators especially when performing magic. Looks like I'll be spending some more cash this month.....

Managed to snag an uncut and half a brick, I'm glad that this deck is already turning out to be one of the mot successful decks on kickstarter!! I personally think that the green seal is pretty unique and nice, but looks like majority wants the blue :(

Thanks for the update!

No Problem!

I wonder where he gets all these decks. He's been doing this for a few years, and now he's selling 12 bricks! Wow...

Well, Lee is a famous magician, he probably has his ways ;) Anyone know how much these will cost? Is there some price scheme of sorts for the JNs? All I know is that they're gonna run me over a $100 usd, better start saving....

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Let's combat humidity
« on: August 22, 2012, 03:28:32 AM »
As a collector in a country with a constant humidity 90%, all I can say is silica packets and small ziplock bags, plus a few dehumidifiers and lots of air conditioning. And boxes. And more silica packets.

The humidity here kills my cards, my deck of well used aristocrats are like 5 cards thicker than a new deck of aristocrats :/ The best I can do is use a porper clip and hope the cards don't get too bloated.

CONGRATS!!! I missed out on the $5 deal, but I just pledged for my uncut and 6 decks, can't wait for them to arrive!  I think I may have been the pledge to get it to $10000, I put my pledge in at $9940 :) Feels cool to have helped out with the making of this deck!

Hey guys, I have 2 Oriental decks available for trade or sale, 1 signed and stamped without cello and 1 normal sealed with cello. I'm still not too sure about the market price of these guys, so I'm open to price suggestions if you're keen on buying(maybe about US$40-45 for the signed one, US$25 for the normal one?), but I would much prefer a trade, and it would increase your chances greatly if you are located in Singapore. Here are some pics (uncut sheet not up for trade or sale):

The signed deck came without cello and is a couple small dents at the corners, but that's how I got it, It came in a packaging tube along with the uncut. The sealed decks are in mint condition though.
I'm looking for these decks for trade:
- White Monarchs
- Tally-Ho/Bee Split spades
- Smoke and Mirrors v1-4
- Tungstene
- Dr Leons
- Red and Violet Wynns standard index
- Arrco Tahoes (Red, Blue, Black, White)
- Studs (Old or new)
- Magic Con 2012
- LTD
- Gold Arcane
- Red Artifice

Just contact me via PM or send me and email at siu_karl(at)yahoo(dot)com(dot)sg, my full name is right there in the email, and I'll be shipping from Singapore to worldwide. Paypal will be used if you want to buy from overseas. Just send me a PM if you require a shipping quote or want more pics :)
