They Are Back and Running Out of Time (Again!)

For The Love of _______ (fill the blank in with your favorite Deity, Cthulhu, or even The Flying Spaghetti Monster)!

Please Help This Project with the Measly $687 They Need to Finally Get Over The Finish Line So They Can Get These Published!

I'm Really Hungry for These Cards!

1. I think the cards are beautiful!

2. Bridge-sized decks are rather small for my large hands, so I would love to see them in a poker-sized deck.

3. And I placed an order for two decks back on the 22nd. of June.

4. So I am keeping an eye on my mailbox daily for the soon to arrive package!

5. If my wife likes these as much as I believe she will, I'll have to order more; especially if they are released in poker-sized decks!

6. Thank You for creating these!

I like these decks enough that I'm posting tweets and messages on Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere like the one linked below; and I hope they will help!

I really want these decks to succeed this time, so I'll be posting Tweets on Twitter, Facebook and other sites like this one:

http://twitter.com/CthulhuWho1/status/579621718144073728

And I'm curious about how well other card collectors think messages like this will work towards card deck projects; and how often I should post them.

Can this topic get updated so the current project and its link and images are at the top instead of the older project links and details?

This combined digital set is a must-have for any collector!

I ordered my set as soon as the email arrived from CARC on January 8th.; and within minutes, I was browsing through these beautiful books.

Thank You for making these digital sets available!

This purchase is a "no-brainer" for anyone who loves cards.

If you haven't purchased this set, but you are reading this, on THIS site, what are you waiting for?

Many Thanks for Your Input on This Topic!

I've just looked at EFS, and found them interesting too; but I have to admit that a Fulfillment Service that does NOT have Tubes and other Special Packaging for decks of playing cards is a deal-breaker for me.  Not having these items tells me they have no experience in handling custom playing card needs; and I wouldn't want to take a chance on ruined decks of cards going out to customers!

I will comment on 3.
1. To begin with KWP never answered my emails requesting fulfillment. Ever. Not great at all.
2. Gamblers Warehouse (from a customer point of view) has immaculate standards. Their decks come bubble wrapped  in boxes, bubble wrapped and in a bubble mailer. Then bubble wrapped again. Maybe not that many times but they have the BEST packaging I have ever had the delight of opening. They completely understand playing cards. Highly recommend.
Only bad thing was when I asked for pricing the table was confusing.
3. EFulfillment is the one I am planning on shipping with soon. They have amazing customer service skills and answered EVERY single one of my questions, almost immediately. Including "How was your weekend?" They actually really care. There is no storage fees as they a they assure me all will be shipped the day they come in. They have really good rates and will ship with USPS or EFS or any other method. They customize the fulfillment based on the persons needs. This does mean that tubes (for un-cut sheets) and other special packaging needs to be provided, but this is the only downside I have encountered. I have not shipped my decks yet, but so far I would recommend them.

15
I have searched high and low on the Gamblers Warehouse site, and by way of Google (regular and advanced), and I can't find any information or comments anywhere about "Gamblers Warehouse Fulfillment Centre."

So it seems that "Gamblers Warehouse Fulfillment Centre" is a very well-kept secret!

Please tell me how and where can I find the links and information about this service?

Will Hart

@Don: I guess you forgot about Gamblers Warehouse Fulfillment Centre. We  usually ship around 500 packages a day because of having various online stores & therefore possess expertise in fulfilling kickstarter orders with superb packaging. We ensure that there are no damages during transit by using special custom made boxes for shipping expensive playing cards...
Everyone is well aware of our turnaround in fulfilling Kickstarter order plus our fulfillment rates are hard to beat because of our volumes...

16
I recently put my first deck designs, which I had planned for my wife and I (both retired) to do the fulfillment on ourselves, on hold, while I took care of an audio project that is taking me several weeks (months?) to complete, and right in the middle of the audio project (which is all seated, computer-based work), my right lower-back, hip and knee, have all started giving me so much pain that I can barely stand up; let alone pick up and move cases of decks of cards!

So if I had finished my in-process decks first, and had been in the fulfillment phase, I, and everyone waiting for my decks, would be out-of-luck!

Which means I will now have to go with a well-respected fulfillment company when I get back to working on my card designs; rather than take a chance on not being able to complete the fulfillment myself.

And I'm now asking for names, addresses, contact information, and most importantly opinions on the fulfillment companies that are well-known for working with playing card decks, uncut sheets, and other card related items.

I'm already familiar with King's Wild, and have received many well-packed packages shipped from them; but most of the other fulfillment companies I've looked up on the Internet don't seem to focus on card-related fulfillment.

Which is why I'm asking everyone here to share what they know; so when it comes time for my Bicycle-Branded, USPCC decks to be released through Kickstarter, my choice for a fulfillment company will add to the confidence level of those pledging for the decks.

Many Thanks in Advance for any thoughts you can share on this matter, that I now realize will be crucial to my being able to put cards safely into everyone's hands!

Now that Jackson has made the addition of the red ink to the Slate decks, and doubled the number of Pearl decks in each Brick to 2, I've upped my four deck order to an E1 Brick with the two Pearl decks.

And I hope enough of us collectors will do the same so these decks can reach their goal and get printed.

They may not be collectible, with 25,000 decks, but at $6.00 per deck, including the much ballyhooed and discussed shipping from the last few months, I can afford to use these decks for just about any purpose; and still be able to buy more later.

Now if Jackson would also make this kind of deal on his Tally-Ho's...

I couldn't resist these, especially the Elemental decks with their beautiful backs!

So I'm in for a few decks.

But I had to post the following in the Kickstarter Comments section today:

Hey Edgy Brothers, I'm backing you again, but I'd like for you to change part of your deck descriptions.

There's no such thing as a "Bicycle Unbranded" deck.  Your cards are only Bicycle Branded when you pay the extra fees to use their brand.

If you don't pay to have a Bicycle Branded deck, but you have your cards printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC), then they are just USPCC printed cards; and NOT Bicycle anything.

You might also spell out the card stock your decks will be printed on by the USPCC.

But Please remove the Bicycle reference!

Here's what I sent off to the creators by way of Kickstarter email before I saw the discussion here:

Adam1 & Adam2,

I'm interested in your deck of cards, but I have to tell you, having been burned before, something about your project just doesn't add up...

Before all of the extra set-up fees at the USPCC, a minimum order of 2500 decks (with a plus or minus 10% surcharge) is $5200; and they charge you for every deck they print over your 2500 order, which can end up being 2750 decks for $5720!

You are asking for $4200.

And this doesn't even count the nearly 10% off the top of each project for Amazon and Kickstarter; nor does it take into consideration that postage and shipping costs eat up 15-18% of each project.

So how will your goal of $4200 cover $5200 (minimum) for printing, plus all of your fees, postage, shipping, and handling?  Which can end up actually costing a grand total of something more like $11000 if you want to cover all of your expenses.

Please don't tell me you expect to pay all of the extra costs out of your own pockets, because that is what many past failed project creators have promised too.

You can call me an Omniverous Swine, but I really like these cards; and they make my wife smile too, so I'll be buying a few decks of these.

I think they are beautifully original, and both fun and funny; so I can easily see these being used by me for card games and themed tricks for young and old alike.

I missed the original deck, so even a "reprint" would be a "new" addition to my collection, but I do have other concerns.

I'm tired of spending money on decks that are just a new back and tuck case on a set of standard face cards.

I love the design of card backs and tuck cases, but I'm equally interested in the card faces; because I buy decks based upon the entire package.

Even my wife laughs at how much money is being asked for or collected on Kickstarter for decks that just have a back or tuck case change; because she knows how long it's taking me to work on the faces of the decks I'm working on for my own Kickstarter projects.

That is why I just sent the following message off on Kickstarter to the creator of these cards:

"Hey Derek,

Would you please show the faces of your aces and court cards, and the faces of a few of your numbered cards too?

I no longer pledge for any decks that don't show what I'm buying; and I'm sure I'm not alone.

Will Hart
Fullerton, California"

22
I'm currently pledged on 12 active Kickstarter projects, and waiting for 37 more Kickstarter projects that I have paid for that have not been fulfilled!

Thanks for reminding me just how deep I am into this crazy hobby!

Please don't tell my wife...

I'd really like to own one or more of these beautiful decks, but $25 (to the U.S.) for one deck out of the thousands that will be printed is making me think more than twice on this purchase.

Good on you John!

And Thank You to Rob, Jackson, and The Playing Card Forum for running this contest too!

My Internet connection was down all day today while Time Warner was working on it, and wanting to read who won this contest was bugging me until I finally got on-line moments ago.

At least it gave me more time to keep working on my own first deck while waiting to get back on-line!

Thanks Again for a fun ride with this amazing contest!
