Design & Development / Re: Playing cards Sunrise

Looking pretty good, my only remark is how well the background detailing on the courts would shop up after printing.

Ah damn, I was hoping for the red blue inversion of the first decks back, but still count me in for one.

3
A friend brought back a deck of angel playing cards no. 810 and I was wondering if anyone had some more of them for sale. Thanks, Afrank8

4
Most were ad cards but I had to sacrifice a few jokers here and there to get the end result.

5
A while in the making but I'm happy with the end result. Relatively cheap frame from ikea but looks decent.

6
That would be the A Bandit deck. Bit quirky with some custom courts and a nice back.

Sorry if I wasn't clear when I said I wanted to see more, what I meant by that was seeing more development in the design and the stages it goes through to the end result.

I actually quite like what you've done with the pips, but the back design is a bit mental. I would prefer it a bit toned down, would like to see more.

Here's my latest stuff, bunch of good things.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Rarity and Speculation - What Is Rare?
« on: June 24, 2014, 10:42:22 AM »
In terms of playing cards  I wouldn't think there's too many truly rare decks. Something like the pre release monarchs with gold ink on the backs, of which around 144 were made is what I'd consider rare.  I agree with sher that there's a distinction between rare and limited to be made, you have to consider that there are some limited edition  decks, for example Jackson robinsons Sherlock ones, which are still quite easy to get hold of if you have the money. Rare decks are ones that wouldn't be commonly available/ would be hard to find. For me personally that is what makes something rare.

Did you make a decision on which ace of spades you were going to use?

I thought the back design looked a lot like the sultan republic no. 2 deck, but that might just be me.

Will the limited edition also have a different colour for hearts and diamonds or is it just gold for spades and clubs and red for the other?

Are there multiple bricks available? I wouldn't mind grabbing one.

I think for a deck called maelstrom an overly simplistic back might not be fitting. The left hand side backs are a bit too chaotic for me so I think I would have to pick one of the middle designs. Have you considered a back that looks like a maelstrom when the card is spun?

Playing Card Plethora / Fournier No. 18-00

I stumbled across the fournier website a little while back and saw this: http://www.nhfournier.es/en/productos/ver/n-18-00. I tried a quick google for them to see more pics or info but got nothing. Anyone know something about them?

Have you done a mock up of a ten of any suit. I think that might be an issue when it comes to fitting both numerals inside the suit. Do you have any plans to fill the large blank space in the centre of all the spot cards, I personally feel there just needs to be something holding it together.

I'm not entirely sure but I thought the v1 fatboys were released prior to the virts 1st edition.

Don although it has a slightly different tuck the cards are virtually identical with the exception of a 90th anniversary ad card. As far as I can tell it's the same paper.

21
Probably not all that limited though they claim to be limited edition 90th anniversary. Just thought I'd pick up some from my local store anyway.

Looks like the arrco tahoe's.

24
Is that exclusively for 808 members? Or will they eventually be released to the public?

Looking better and better. Are you planning quite thin borders or all the way to the edge?
