Thanks for the nice welcome! Nice to hear from you Mr. Dawson and Mr. Boyer!
Most of my card collection is recent with a lot of duplicates. I basically try to spend all my money on books and then my favorite cards. I like Arrco US Regulation, Tally-Ho No. 9 Circle Backs, Bee No. 67 (preferably from Cincinatti), and the Bicycle New Fan Backs, because I like to use them in my card work. I would've been happy my whole life with a large supply of those. I have gotten into all the more recent cards a little though and like the Plaid cards that Dan and Dave Buck put out and the Erdnase 1902 - Blue Smith No. 2s. Currently I am pretty excited about the Expert Playing Card Co. and what Bill Kalush is doing over there. He doesn't always tell me everything that is going on, but what I have seen is great, and I hope to do my own deck there someday.
At one point I was very excited about the Bee Regency playing cards. They were from a casino in the Philippines and had an R on them with a reverse Bee 67 pattern. I refer to them as Ricky's and am very happy to have a few decks!
I am in awe of the collections of Tom and Judy Dawson and Bill Kalush. So many intricate and beautiful back designs and fascinating details! I would be able to afford only one deck and never be able to practice again, if I went that route though!
