I appreciate the feedback Don. Thanks :)

I didn't realize there was already an architecture deck out there. I get the tally ho thing already.. so.. lol.. it's all good. I can promise this was built from the ground up with no intention to look like a Tally Ho or any other for that matter but not to insult people's intelligence I can surely see the familiar elements that are there. 

Rewards .. yea.. I am working on cutting back at the moment..

As far as the courts.. to each their own.. you will either love it or not love it I guess.

The Architect - June 1st

The Architect is more about creating from inspiration than anything .. A lot of people have asked me about why I went with personalized court cards, vs traditional generic faces and why Da Vinci and Dali .... 

It's all about inspiration and the people in my court cards inspire me. Da Vinci and Dali, while not architects.. they inspire me. When you design anything, you need to be inspired .I felt that elements in architecture captured design with purpose beautifully, since architecture is essentially a design with a purpose but also embodies precision and detail, much like playing cards. It all just fit perfectly with my idea of what I wanted to share with the world. As I design my own legacy within my own space and communities, I want to share something of value and to me these cards represent reminders to live by design and for your passion.

Hey Everyone..

I am re-launching my once failed Stars & Spades Playing Cards (Don't worry.. it looks way better this time).

I am not here to discuss the look of it now.. but rather some reward ideas and / goal amount..

I was wanting to do a Black deck and a White deck from the Expert Playing Card Co.  Their minimum is around 1000 decks. I am gonna be using a sideways tuck case for this as well.

What in your opinion would be a reasonable goal amount (keep in mind kickstarter and amazon take fees off the top (10%) after a successful funding)

Also.. what sort of rewards do you guys like to see.

The tee shirts.. well.. since I didn't reach my goal I didn't do any :P  lol ... But a lot of my friends said they liked them.. that kind of thing is personal preference I guess. I understand what you are saying though.

Thanks for all your comments guys.. I do my best to take heed to your comments as much as possible.

I am looking into changing up the kings and jacks, possibly the queens too.. as of now, they are more "streamlined" than before.. PM on facebook to get some images...

As far as the queens.. I couldn't say it before because Ning didn't officially make a statement, but she is retiring from magic, so I was thinking it would make them a collector .. or more so than a normal deck. She is a good friend and thought ti would be neat to highlight the different parts of her career over the last decade. :)  I just couldn't say it before so..

I am having the Expert Playing Card Company print them and the tuck case will be a cool sideways one.

I understand your comment about just 1 woman.. It wasn't about not having enough.. but I guess I just wanted to break the rules I guess and just highlight one lady at a time because I wanted to do a series.. the fact that there are so little women is part of why I think 1 queen is good.. it gives them extra attention they deserve.. I also liked the idea of showcasing her career within the cards.. I know not everyone will like it.. it's certainly a different approach to a deck. I just hope people give it a chance.. if anything.. it makes the deck that much more unique..

I have other decks coming out after this that follow a more traditional standard. :D

Hey guys at the Discourse ... I am currently doing a deck on kickstarter that breaks some of the "rules" by only featuring one queen ... I am currently working to have 4 different poses vs what I originally had due to some "suggestions" which I took heed to.. now.. If you can look past the queen.. I think you might find it cool.. Now I know it falls into the "minimal" back design.. but I just happen to like that look.. I have more decks in the future.. I'm just asking you give this a chance.. Since it is not your average deck I have made the prices very attractive.. $85 bricks for early birds.. $95 for regular.. USA free ship.  $8 per deck. I have a lot of cool perks..

** The borders will be thinner and more square.. this is just a prototype.. ***

I do have a lot of fun easter eggs hidden in the cards.. now.. I normally don't give away easter eggs.. but Lee Asher said you were a cool bunch.. so I am gonna tell you.. On the Jack of Diamonds.. or Kevin ho's card.. on the staff if you hold a mirror up to it.. it reads FUCK YOU in fancy script... :D  See... cool right..

Now I know not everyone is gonna be feeling this deck.. but I would ask you to see if you like the perks maybe.. I have a cool tee and notebook.
