Playing Card Plethora / Borgata Casino Used Deck Information please
« on: May 31, 2018, 07:15:16 PM »
Hi everyone,

I came across this used/cancelled Borgata Casino playing card recently and was hoping if someone can shed some light on this particular deck. I'm pretty certain this was actually used by the casino table games and was sold at their gift shops years ago. The holes are punched on all of the cards. Was this particular deck the first generation of Borgata playing cards? I think they now go with Gemaco as their source for playing cards.

My most recent acquired deck, The Grand Opening Deck from Bicycle. Shout out to Mr. Jason Rideout for a smooth transaction. My most expensive deck in my collection.

Ah I see. I thought it was rarer and more expensive than the Unbranded Black Reserve Note. Good for me though!! I shall hunt and acquire this deck.

I'm surprised that none of the Card Experiment decks are here - they're among my favorites.

The Bicycle Gold Seal New Fan Backs are a great pair as well.

Moth/Myth in black and white

The Watcher - including the extra gaff cards!

Club Angel Playing Cards, from the Angel Playing Card Company (Osaka, Japan)

Bicycle Clot Ltd. Editions

I'm sure I could think of more, but seriously - you're talking about the most subjective list possible.  "Must have" for one person might be "easy pass" for another person.

How many Bicycle Clot Ltd edition has been in circulation? And what do they run for?

This is going to be an interesting cool deck. I definitely am excited. Just pledged a full brick. I hope Prism Day gets unlocked.

Playing Card Plethora / Top Modern Decks to Collect

Hello everyone. As the title says, I have started to collect playing cards and will be focusing on modern decks. My Federal 52 series set is almost complete. What would be your Top 20 most popular gotta have modern decks?

I love the interview with UUSI, love their work so much. Unfortunate that I got into card collection so late, otherwise I would have got their Blue Blood as well.. Pagan is definitely 1 of their best work, with the details on the court cards. can't wait for their Brut deck now.

I'm glad to hear it.  i was able to put a slightly unique spin on that interview due to my prior relationship with the designers.  I've known them for a few years now and they've been my client since just prior to launching "Bohemia."  For me, I'm torn as to which is my favorite, but it might be Bohemia and Pagan in a tie!

Bohemia is incredible as well, I really enjoy looking at the artwork from USSI and for me nothing on the market can compared to them on this genre.

I agree. The artwork from USSI is gorgeous. It seems they are really passionate at what they do and the coloring and artwork is beautiful. I'm starting to realize playing cards are more complex and not as simple as I thought it was. The artwork, coloring, design seems like "art" or "painting" on a smaller scale of cards.

This is great ! I can't wait to go home and read this after work :)

Hi everyone. I am looking for Handmade Federal 52 wooden deck case (which holds up to 10 decks). If anyone has this brand new for sale, please let me know. I have no clue on what the price is, so please let me know your asking price. Thank you.

ltd_editions - Thank you for letting me know but I was able to purchase one for less than $400. I will PM you if I'm interested in purchasing another one from you. The Federal 52 is quite a gorgeous detailed deck. I haven't seen any other decks as detailed as the Fed 52.

Hi everyone. If anyone is willing to part with their Unbranded Black Reserve Note deck (SEALED), please let me know. Thanks

Okay. So White Centurian seems to be the "holy grail" of modern decks for now.

You do have a point there, but if the Legacy deck never came with the wooden casing, I would assume it would probably be between $50-$100 cheaper. It will still be pricey imo.

So as of now, I would assume the most rarest and expensive modern deck is Tally Ho Legacy Edition. It is only 50 made and most recent sales have been around $500 range. Anyone who can think of more rare and expensive modern deck, feel free to chime in.

It seems like Tally Ho Legacy Edition is the most expensive modern deck out there unless someone can correct me. $500 for a modern deck is really expensive. I know they have been only 50 released. But are there also a big demand for this particular deck which is why its so expensive?

Playing Card Plethora / Question on Modern Decks

Hi everyone. I'm fairly new to card collecting and recently been learning a lot about playing cards. As far as the rarest and valuable in modern playing cards, which deck would it be and around how much would they go for? Thanks.

A Cellar of Fine Vintages / 1988 Adobe Playing Card Info
« on: May 26, 2015, 10:58:38 PM »
Good evening everyone. I have started to collect playing cards recently and recently acquired this rare 1988 Adobe Playing Card for a steal! All I have to stay is the colors are vibrant and its a very odd and unique deck. I know Adobe has manufactured this deck in 1988 as a promotional item to advertise their Illustrator and PostScript software. Nevertheless, this is a cool piece. I doubt these are fake (unless someone else can prove me wrong) and happy to own this unique piece. Enjoy the pictures.
