Hey tekkie,
 Not sure if youre still doing magic/cardistry. But i too enjoy both and would still consider myself a beginner. I live in the bham area as well amd as you may know, there isnt much going on with cardistry or magic around here. I know its a slim chance but it might be cool to meet up one day. Maybe we can share some ideas, tricks, flourishes, etc. No one to network with locally. :(
