Wow 2nd person huh? How about angela funovits? LoL!
anyway, I am really going to try to get my paid VPN ASAP! because I am really having a hard time updating my blogs and whatnots with free ones. LoL!

Anyway, yeah ^_^

soon @Victoria I will be able to watch your vids! I really love fashion! Although it does not show on regular days because I am a teacher for children so yeah. ^_^

@alex I happen to like Beijing except for the whole censored internet. ^_^

Let me know what you think of them when you can access them! :) Fashion is so fun and it's always good to get ideas from other women.

Anya thought the first video looked nice, as did I.  When did you go full blonde?  You're brunette in your avatar photo.

Thanks for the feedback :)
It'll take a a few videos to really figure out exactly how I'm going to be formatting the rest of the videos but I'm liking the direction this first video set so far.

I actually went blonde couple of months ago, I just haven't taken a picture. I'll probably have a new avatar up sometime this week though.

I want to see your channel so badly right now. But unfortunately for me I'm now in the beautiful city of Beijing, China where my internet world is all BLOCKED off by it's greatFIREwall of China. :( so I can't view youtube.

I do have a free VPN service which allows me to go to twitter and other sites... but youtube is so slow on free VPN, but once I do subscribe to my choice of VPN then I will be able to watch your channel

I do love fashion.
I love clothes
I love SHOES!
I love makeup!

squeeeeeee

Thanks for the support, everyone! Lara, I really hope you'll like the channel when you do get a chance to see it! :)

Even if you offered to show him off in the latest men's fashions and groomed to the nines?  You need a model for that, come look me up!  :))

Alex rejects all the fluffing I attempt to impose onto him. He likes his plaid shirts and jeans, I'm afraid.

You can get a man to do practically anything with the right enticement!

When I'm on a computer with audio, I'll check it out.  Might give me ideas for things to get for my fiancee.

Very true, Don, but I don't think Alex will ever be a willing participant in a video of mine :P

Congratulations!

Maybe in later times you could put up videos about guys' fashion? I'll definitely look into that if those do come up!
Anyhow, best of luck on the channel!

You know, I would totally love to do some videos about mens fashion and grooming, but I would need to figure out exactly how to work that out since I'm obviously not a man and don't own the clothes :P

But maybe I could just do some videos talking about the trends that are gaining popularity and other things I think guys might want to know.

Hey guys,

Sorry for my absence from The Discourse lately - lots of stuff going on for me.

But onto the point of this post... I made a YouTube channel! I'm sure most of you guys on here won't be too interested in it because it's a women's fashion and beauty channel, BUT the girls should definitely go have a look and the guys should tell the girls in their lives.

The channel is still new but it's going to be updated really quickly and I will be posting new videos every couple days -- the next one will probably be up on Monday. Lots of good stuff coming up soon.

Thanks for looking, everyone! :)

The Conversation Parlor / Re: Unpitiful Person
« on: January 20, 2012, 06:17:48 AM »
I'm sorry but I have to agree with Alex here and say that this woman is really a terrible person. When you have a baby, your life becomes about that child's happiness and doing the best thing for that child. This woman was protecting him and herself before she helped her child.

Having both parents in your life is a really amazing thing and something everybody should strive for ideally. Sometimes it's not possible, but this time it truly was. This woman decided that her pride and emotions were more important than the wellbeing of her child and that is simply wrong. Plus, it's not like she had to be with him in a relationship even, she could have just given the father a chance to at least be in the child's life.

Selfish woman with some messed up priorities. Truly "unpitiful" cause I don't have any pity for her. The only person I pity is her daughter and that poor guy who lost the chance to be a father to his daughter.

When you said a dinosaur show I was thinking Land Before Time, which was an awesome kids show from when I was little.

That's actually pretty cool but a bit expensive for what it is, in my opinion.

Hey guys,

I'm flying out to Seattle this morning to visit my mom and my brothers. I will do my best to keep being around but if I'm a little less present that will be why. I'll be back at home on January 5th though if I do end up being a bit MIA.

Have a happy new year, everyone!

Victoria

The Conversation Parlor / Re: What's on the Menu for New Years Eve?
« on: December 29, 2011, 11:13:56 AM »

I just showed this to Anya - she says hi!  Also, she's just like you - wait while I transcribe for her:

"She is like me, I rather to clean the dishes, to wipe the floor, to organize my closet, to make laundry, but the kitchen is horrible place.  It can be comparable to Golgotha!  And because additional obstacles, my kitchen is too small, even my closet is bigger than my kitchen, and it makes me double suffered.  But, no, I don't have choice, I have to make my man happy, because if I won lottery ticket I have to keep it!  To find the right way to man's heart is to feed him."

I have no trouble understanding her English and she has none understanding mine, most of the time.  (She was laughing when I was reading what she said, word for word, in her accent!)

Haha that's very funny, tell her I say hello back. She seems charming :) I regrettably have no Russian accent, but I really wish I had one!

She confesses to not being much of a cook.  I told her it doesn't matter to me, but she worries about making me happy and preparing meals for her man.

Yeah I'm not much of a cook either. I bake a lot and enjoy that, but when it comes to cooking I'm pretty clueless. I would so much rather wash dishes after the meal than cook it haha. I would like to learn to cook but I'm a very methodical person, so baking is much better for me because there's measurements and clear cause and effect chemistry, unlike cooking which requires way more intuition.

As for my plans, I will be celebrating the New Year in Seattle with my mother and my two half brothers. I can't wait to eat all the Russian food I'm so deprived of when my mom's not around haha.

I think I've had borscht for at least three of the last four dinners we've had at home, and that's only because I ordered sushi recently!  It's a good thing I think it's OK.

And is it a Russian thing to drink buttermilk?  I look at how thick the stuff is and...uhh...brain...rejecting...image...  must not drink...

Yes, it's called kefir. It's sour and I hate it personally haha. But many Russians drink it. Russian food is really delicious usually but you have to be open to trying it. Some is as simple as potatoes and pickled herring, which is sooo good. But then there's the more adventurous things like cow tongue (which is actually really good) and things of that nature. Russians are crazy.
