Hi,  I'm new here and may ask a few questions soon.  I have a modest collection of playing cards, both modern and vintage.  I started casually collecting playing cards some years ago due to being employed in the printing industry as a field service rep for more than 20 years, I got into a couple playing card plants in my day, I always found different and unique back designs is what made me want the deck.

My oldest decks are probably some 1940s vintage Aviator decks (still sealed, dated from the tax stamp). I also have some pre-1987 Arrco decks, which I don't really know how to date exactly.  Gemaco decks, Liberty decks.   Most of my newer decks are all USPCC brands.

I have a few decks that I have not been able to date, I may ask about them if I finish searching this forum site and still have questions.

Thanks much.

Welcome iraiam. How cool to get inside access to printing shops that print cards. Maybe you heard that 52+J will get to tour USPCC at the next convention, Oct 2017. Hope to see you there.

Cool, I think I'm going to join 52+J, that's another reason to,  I never made it inside USPCC, but other companies, which were later acquired by USPCC, for example, my Gemaco cards are from before they were bought. Not sure if they still operate out of the same plant in MO or not. I suspect the Gemaco casino cards are made in a secure facility like some of the Credit Card manufacturers I used to service.
