We interrupt your regularly-scheduled list of new releases to give you this update...
Perhaps you noticed that the topic's been changed a wee bit - instead of running releases from calendar year to calendar year, it's been broken up from July 1 to June 30. "Why, oh why did you do that?," you ask? It's very simple - if you're a 52+J member!
52 Plus Joker is holding the first-ever, annual Diamond Awards at this year's convention in Erlanger, Kentucky, from October 12th through 14th - perhaps you noticed it advertised on the forum home page or on
the club's home page. Club members will soon be sent ballots by email and asked to vote on their favorites in the inaugural year's voted categories: Deck of the Year and Artist of the Year. Eligible decks for the awards at this year's convention will be any and all decks released between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. Club members will be given a short list of nominees to choose from, but are free to make their own write-in vote for any eligible deck; hence the new temporal division. The other sticky topic on New Releases covering that period should have pretty close to all the eligible decks in it - this topic will have the releases in it that are eligible for next year's awards.
