Hi everybody! I'm That Guy Dave, or Dave for short. I'm originally from Southern California but, thanks to the Navy, I've travelled and lived all over the place. One of my last duty assignments was with the US Navy Blue Angels as a videographer and Quality Assurance advisor.
I retired a little over a year ago now and ended up in Southeastern Virginia.
I've always had a love of magic (sleight of hand specifically) and photography/cinematography. Since retiring from the military, I've got all kinds of extra time on my hand to pursue my passions. The first thing I realized after getting into card conjuring and frequenting the magic side of youtube is there's a whole world of playing cards I knew nothing about! I never knew there were so many amazing card designs and artists out there! I instantly fell down the rabbit hole of card collecting and met so many amazing people in the process. The card collecting and magic community has been so welcoming and helpful!
I'm currently going back to school for graphic design with a concentration in photo and video editing. I am also into aerial cinematography and will soon be entering the world of using drones to film real estate and crop surveying for nearby farmers. I look forward to getting to know many of you and falling further down the playing card rabbit hole!
