On different occasions we have been in love by their plays and the way they made history with their feet they met and found the hope and faith of many nations.

The feeling of watching the team you support brings so much anticipation whether they will make or break your day. The last minute goals , the majestic skills and the fans pure joy really tugs at your heart strings. No other sport I believe can bring out such similar intensity.

Very important question: did you use images of any real players or any real team jerseys or logos?  If so, you need to look into licensing or changing the art to something more generic - you could end up sued over it.  I've seen a few decks get killed over legal issues involving intellectual property rights.  Ask anyone who backed Bicycle Army Men from the now-defunct Circle City Card Co.

Thanks for the heads up, but saddly this decks its not going to fund   

We are still in the process of understanding why this deck wasnt accepted by the public, we are sure that part of the reason was the copyright/trademark problem that the deck might have.

acording to our artist this wasnt the case, since all the poses and likeness of the players were original designs, the only problem we might have had was with the uniforms.

But since the deck its dead (4% over 10 days and crawling to 10% by the end of the funding according to kicktraq) we noticed a lack of enthusiasm from the USA public (like with everything futbol/football/soccer wise) and that really killed the project (ignoring the fact that the design wasn't made for the general public and this deck doesn't really celebrate the world cup, it celebrates a particular community in México).

We learned a lot from this deck.

Target your deck to your audience.  Push it to be in front of futbol players and fans if you want them to buy it.  Use targeted advertising.

Get licensing rights from the teams or make original uniform designs.  A team name or uniform design can be copyrighted and trademarked - and usually is in most professional sports leagues.  Licensing rights to the World Cup would have been awesome, but would have needed to be arranged WAY in advance.

It is possible to make a soccer/futbol deck without World Cup rights.  Just look at what Alex Pandrea did along those lines in 2014.  He did something very similar with the Olympic Games in London during 2012, releasing a three-deck set.  However, bear in mind that for a limited edition of 5,000, the Brazil deck is still listed as "for sale" when you search for it through Google on his website, though it doesn't show up if you simply browse current available inventory from the site's home page.  He clearly didn't sell through all of them, four years later - or the page is way out of date and they're long gone; I truly can't say either with certainty.
