There's absolutely nothing wrong with reviewing a deck from the perspective of a working magician. Magicians have specific requirements for a deck of cards, requirements that can be quite different from those of cardists, collectors, poker players, goths, metalheads, music fans, movie enthusiasts, little children, grandparents, Joe Six-Pack, etc. If magic is what you know, go with what you know - but know that your audience will be just that, magicians, and few others.
It's good to cover a broader view, if you can - for example, commenting on those features that make it a good deck for magicians is fine, but imagine how much better the review would be if you also threw in info about those features that make it particularly appealing (or repulsive) to other population segments? More people would be interested in reading your reviews, then. Now, if you don't know enough about those populations to comment authoritatively, that's one thing - but if you know enough, then go for it.
