my family loves playing cards but we tend to steer clear of team/partnership games. ive read canasta is best played with 4 but only instructions ive found are for partnerships. is there a way to play 4 individually and if so what game mechanics change?
im new here and not even sure im posting in the right spot. i would appreciate any feed back

Here are canasta variants that can be played individually with any number of players:

I play canasta in pairs, threes and fours.
In threes we switch to 15 cards each but as long as you choose and follow some basics, knock yourself out and just enjoy the game.
