Speaking for myself, the indices of a deck of cards are meant for easy, fast identification of the card itself.  Changing that to an unfamiliar pattern makes the cards more difficult to use and less convenient.  I'd keep the indices simple with standard Arabic numerals instead of dot patterns to match the pip art patterns.
