I am working on a deck, minimal look. Still in early stage. A lot of work to do!

I like it. maybe shrink the center to give the indices a bit of space or minimize them more as well. good luck!

Hi,
I am working on a deck, minimal look. Still in early stage. A lot of work to do!

Along the lines of what Mike said, I'd eliminate the outer black border altogether - it just takes up space, makes your indices harder to read and detracts from the main artwork in the center.  Let the court character be more of the focus instead.
