U19 - Victor E. Mauger - This Ace is interesting in that it has both Goodall and Mauger names on it.

U19d, SX1 c1876 - Almost the same Ace of Spades of the 1876 Centennial deck, but has four Spade pips as the corner indices and Ace of Spades is only card with corner pips

One could almost call them ornamental details rather than indices.  But they are still pips, either way!

Working on a more in depth history of Mauger now. He actually had 6 decks for the fair. During the fair he announced he was breaking with Goodall. The day after the fair ended he was done with Goodall. In August the next year he started his American Playing Card line.

Found an ad for Mauger's Pointers in my November 14, 1878 issue of The American Stationer along with a price list showing the Mauger brands at the time.
