He convinced the scrap metal dealers that the upkeep of the Eiffel tower was too much for Paris and that the goverment wished to sell it for scrap. He sold them the Eiffel tower. TWICE

The history of playing cards is closely connected with con artsits, gamblers and scammers. Playing cards were often used to make money fast.
The idea of creating these cards is to combine the system of marking cards on the back side and portraits of famous con artists, gamblers and scammers of the 16th-20th centuries on the court cards.

I'm sure it's a nice deck, but what's the point of making it a marked deck AND putting images of famous con men on the cards?  It's like walking into a bank with a black eye mask, black pants, black-and-white-striped shirt and holding a shotgun and open bags stamped "$$$" on them...then trying to say that you were going to a costume party when the guards tackle you!  It's a little too obvious and your spectators are likely to guess that it's not a standard deck.  Subtlely is everything in a marked deck.  This idea is as subtle as using an excavator to pop a pimple on your back...

It's called "desperation."  If I had more time and a good moderator, I'd have the threads consolidated into one.  Princess Trouble's been busy.
