In your profile, you can see how many posts per day you have. Post that number here.

Why do I ask this? Because in Discourse v2, PPD plays a huge role in your Fame. The higher your PPD number, the more Fame you get in your stimulus package each week or so.

And since Fame can be used to unlock Influence, forum features, previews of Aether products, and actual Aether products themselves, your best bet is to maximize your earnings.

Luckily, good posts play an equal role as well. Your overall post count is a very small portion of your total Fame. The vast majority is from your posts-per-day and the amount of upvotes you receive.

The key to dominating Fame and buying everything in the shop is posting a lot of great posts every day.

Actually, today is the Discourse's 100th day since it was open for public Beta (err... well, depending o time zones, probably), making the calculations pretty damn easy;

Also, I want to point out that my total lack of sleep pattern makes my activity by hours look hilarious;

Why the drop off from 6-11pm? Because I'm often out drinkin' at that time. What a well rounded, healthy life I lead...

Well, last night I slept from about 10pm to 2am. That was a good night. I'm usually sleeping 1-3 hours in every 24 at some stage, no set time at all. I've tried every little trick and tip out there. I probably need to eat more healthily and more regularly and exercise more but that's hard to do when you're so tired all the time. Vicious cycle.

Hmm... not that I'm advocating this but when it calculates PPD, is the day from the central server or based upon your local time settings but I'm pretty sure you could manipulate that to make a day last 36 hours and have your PPD skyrocket by changing your time zone every day.

Also Alex, just to ask, will there be the possibility to upvote a post, rather than a user? It's just, people don't seem to 'Applaud' each other that much currently. I'm thinking that upvoting posts themselves might be a little more popular? Or are people just going to be encouraged to give positive Fame to others for good quality posts?

Fame does actually work on a per-post basis, so you'll be upvoting or downvoting a post rather than the user specifically. And that will affect the user's fame by a certain amount, determined by what we call your "influence", which is mainly derived from how much fame you have yourself.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Fame mechanic in action. Could be very interesting. It's so different than what's in place now, I'm having a hard time imagining it in action, but I'm sure when I see it it'll all make sense to me.
