Poll

What is your opinion regarding the extra card w/credits?

Regular backs on both, credits on one in small print, AC ad on the other.
Credits on both sides of one in medium-sized print, AC ad on the other with regular back.
Credits on three sides in regular print, AC ad on the fourth.
I really couldn't give a flying fig and have no opinion - do what thou wilst.
I want something different, and I'll describe it in a post below...

Here is the Queen indice:

http://s1264.photobucket.com/albums/jj499/loldudex2/?action=view&current=QueenIndice.jpg

I really enjoy it, and thanks for telling me to change it *Cough* Don *Cough*

Hey, no problem.  I'm glad you liked it.  It seemed to fit better with your "gap in the shape" design asthetic.

If you wanted to have only one gap in the Q, simply attach the "tail" to either side of the opening.  I like it either way; your Q looks good.

I think all the ones I have seen so far look really good Loldude!! Hopefully whatever you changes you make only make the design better. You're on a roll with them!!

Thanks a lot man. If and when I make any design changes I will make sure it it put up to majority vote to see which one is better.

I beg of you, DON'T!  It's your baby, run with it.  Design by committee generally takes longer and doesn't guarantee better results.  Look at how much the back design has been tossed around.  Granted, this end result is an improvement, but the process for creating it has dragged out a while as a result of public polling - and the basic design idea came from the guy making it, not from the peanut gallery!  :))

I do agree that you're doing very well with the indices.  I was the guy who suggested you do them, and I don't regret my suggestion for even a moment.

BTW: if anyone's interested, this is now officially the most replied-to topic in the whole Discourse!  And by a wide margin!

The twos look pretty good! I like the flower theme. With enough detail those could look really cool! Like Don said, can't wait to see the finished product.

Since we're pretty much locked down on the back design now, could you remove the poll?

I will probably be able to post more updates on the two when I arrive in Beijing, since I will borrow my sister's drawing tablet thing ^_^. I am also very excited about this. I know there are a lot of skeptics about this project. Whether or not this is going to get funded, i think the face that a lot of people is pulling together to get designs done.. over the net (internationaly) is not an easy feat ^_^ so kudos to all.

I have to pack up in a bit since I'm leaving in three days! @Don I will go on the Deck hunt ASAP. ^_^

Quite honestly I was shocked by the number of skeptics yesterday. Wether it gets funded or not, I think the idea is to have fun and work together and make the Discourse proud. And, if it doesn't get funded, we can always make changes and try again!

We are missing a few drafts and a few artists. Feel free to pick a job, I do not wish to impose one on anyone! Let's keep up the work!

The following people haven't shown a draft for any of their cards:
DiamondKing
John
Austin
Hazorhorsham
chdmagicdude
Iamthechin
Sinsandman

All the jobs with done written next to them means that at least one rough draft was made.
The people above need to show work by Sunday 26th of February or they are out.
Let's keep on working. It seems like creation has slowed down recently. Let's keep it up.

Thanks for updating us on which ones have been submitted and which ones are still in the works. ^_^  2 more days till i leave so that draws me closer to being able to submit a better sketch of my twos! I have to admit that being in this project has really helped me in rediscovering my love for drawing and it also helped me in improving in artistic thinking! hahaha! so kudos.

How's the project coming along, everyone? I'm dropping by to suggest using something posted in the Official Aether board - a QR code that leads to the site! It was a brilliant idea.

Definately do this, Maybe on the tuck box or the ad card, or maybe someone could incorporate it into their face design?

Yeah the QR code could go on the bottom of the tuck box. That's where I've seen them in the past (besides on the Tungstene deck haha). It's a great idea though!!

Two things:

1. If the file isn't properly converted to RGB before saving for the web, the result can be quality loss, color degradation and pixellation. Make sure your color formats are all in working order.

2. For the shade of blue in the gradient, try using a spectrum found on the boards themselves. Derek are you on v2 yet?

Assuming I'm seeing the colors correctly, it looks awesome.  I love the edge fade and the lightening of the shade in the center.

Yeah I also noticed the similarities. I'm not sure if it is a good or bad thing, but it does look good!! This is probably my favorite back design so far!

I took a screenshot of it, which got messed up for some reason. The real file is in the correct color form etc.
You mean take the blue colors from the background on the forum? That may look nice  :D

And yes I am on V2...  ;D
