So... Shiny... o.o
And you just made me think, is there a good amount of (good quality) decks in Beijing that can't be obtained North America? If I'm not mistaken, the bicycle star was only available in China... There must be a couple more interesting ones.

Well when I was still there back 2005-2009 i knew very little about cards. But I think if you know where to look and with a little bit of exploring and luck you can find decks like this one (lucky for me I was there during the 08 olympics and so I got m hands on these) But yeah when I get back I will definitely go card hunting there.

Pick up two of each for me, too!  I'll either pay you when you go or we can trade for them!

They look totally awesome for flourishing - but if I used them at a poker game, I think I'd go blind...  :))

Poker Tactic with Gold cards 101: Hide behind the shiny cards to conceal poker face and blind your opponents to oblivion. **win**

Its good for certain flourishes. IMAGINE AN ANACONDA no seriously... its BEAUTIFUL!! like insanely gorgeous.
But one must not crimp these cards because its not paper stock. I don't know if its even plastic stock.... i really don't know anything hahaha! its slippery. Can be thumb fanned if recently opened. easy to clean surface hahaha! uhm... lets see... better for pressure fan but do not underpressure.
Caution: do not flourish under direct sunlight... you will be blinded and so will your audience... hahah!

I will do my best to find them because I need them back. I will hunt down every hobby shop, card store, olympic store, search the entire Beijing olympic park to try and find them. I hope they are not as hard to find like Horcruxes. LoL

I have been planning and mapping out the places where I might be able to find them for a few weeks now. That is how much I love that deck. I have never come across something (shinyyyyy and purrtyyy) like that. So yeah. I can't even find them online as well. :(

Those are some nice decks! I have a similar looking silver deck, but it isn't from a name brand or anything. It's a pretty plain deck besides being silver and awesome!

Do you remember the part of the conversation where she said that she no longer has this deck and is looking for a new one?  Best she can give you is a written description...

boys boys play nice hahahaa! LoL! Lucky enough, though the poker size and bridge size have different (face) artwork, the Aces are the same for both. But its nothing spectacular. Since it is an olympic deck none of them really have "Aces" and and Ace of Spades is just the Fuwas or the Beijing Olympic mascots. The Ace of iamond (i think) has some chinese writings on it about the Beijing olympics and then the other Aces are just like the first one.

Apparently these cards are made by bigtong

Nice find! My google-fu failed, but you seem to have a very interesting lead here. :P
The silver deck would have to be my favorite, I always loved those mascots... ;D
