@brown_baggs and @jmrock,
I took a deep deep breath before opening the deck. My heart was broken when I saw the backs were red, but these decks are still collectible I think, at least I like them as usual.

Now, anyone wants to buy the blue OF I opened? (kidding :P )

@alex, finally I know having a resealer handy is important! (kidding :P )

Here's the first to the bicycle-related cards. Please excuse the quality of the photos. This is my newest addition to my vintage collection, and my camera's broken before this.

Hmmm... the automobile back? I've never seen that one before!! Very interesting! It has a nice look to it, but most vintage decks do  :P I really like the back design though. The patterns look great! What's the history behind this one?

Number 14 from Mrs. Robinson's Handbook. It's actually Automobile No.2, there's a No.1. Introduced in 1913 and discontinued 1935. That's all I could find for now, maybe someone else could fill us in!

Where did you get Mrs. Robinson's Handbook? Do you own a copy? I would be interested in reading over it and learning about some of the deck  :)

I wish I own a copy of the godly handbook to Bicycle vintage decks. But sadly no. However, I do have a site that tell me an adequate amount of information.

Use this link:
http://www.cypressfilms.com/bicycle/

It includes a copy (not sure if it's full) of Mrs. Robinson's handbook, as well as some information on vintage decks and the dating method.

I do have the same one but blue in color, the cards are complete but no jokers.

Pm me if you are interested, I am open for sale or trade. Is it ok to post it here or should I make another tread? Sorry in advance

@sxjy0109, it's an awesome deck again. :)

Will you get a better camera or use a scanner instead? Your vintage decks are worthy to be shown close up to be appreciated.

Jimmy usually shows his cards in great detail. I believe you may do this better than he.

Yeahh I'll be getting a better camera. In fact I've gotten it already, but I won't have it in my hands until the summer,  whilst the cards aren't with me either (I'm studying abroad by myself).

I've seen his work, but it's been a while since he's posted with his collection. Maybe cause the rest of the 82 that he hasn't got yet are so rare to find that it takes some good time to appear.

(Btw, are you Noty on the forum?)

Here is my very modest vintage collection. I have not focused much on having a large vintage collection but it is definitely something I would like to work on in the future.

The deck on the right is from 1979, when they hosted the world blackjack tournament at the Sahara Casino. As for a price of the Virginia Slims, I paid 12 bucks for the cards and 8 bucks for shipping if I recall correctly.

Haha you've been converted to the dark side  ;) Have fun collecting those! I would but it's just out of my price range. Maybe if I hit the jackpot one day or find a suitcase with a couple grand I'll give it a go, but I doubt that will happen.

Are you planning on only collecting vintage decks from now on Curt?

Nope, I am just going to be a bit more diligent with my efforts on trying to acquire them. I am going to pass on more of the upcoming releases but still will pick up my fair share of new decks, especially ones that are highly anticipated by the community.

That's cool. I know some people really like to have a theme or pattern to their collection, so that's why I asked. I pretty much stick to recent decks that catch my eye. I'm not really into getting all the rare decks no matter what the cost.

Wow sxjy... You really have quite a number of incredible vintage decks... Russell & Morgan Jokers - would you look at that... Great stuff... Now I've gotta hit you back - Here's my newest and one of my most cherished acquisitions... My first ever original Squeezers... I believe it to be beyond rare... Tax stamp is from late 1800s & is broken, but the inside deck is wrapped in paper (not wax) and is still sealed... I've never seen anything like it and take great pride that they are representing N.Y.C.

Of course... Of course... Forgot to lower the size of one of the pics and took a minute to upload... Click on those pics... Been waiting a very long time for a deck like that... Feeling very blessed to be able to pick it up...
