If you have just started in flourishing/cardistry, then no, The System is not a good resource in starting out. The System contains a lot of complex two handed cuts and one handed cuts that definitely require your basics. Furthermore, The System does not really teach the flourishes well, it's just a slow mo of the flourishes. However , IMO I think that The System is a essential DVD for a intermediate flourisher.

If you've just started, you can refer the the hundreds of forum posts on the internet. Many of them would recommend Genesis v1 by Andrei Jikh or Xtreme Beginnerz 1 by the Handlordz group. However, I feel that you can also refer to the thousands of videos on YouTube teaching the basics such as the Charlier Cut, The Spring etc.

If you're an intermediate flourisher, I would recommend picking up The System. Hope this has helped!

I see. Pheraps you can get The System to see whether you're able to learn some of the moves there. If not you can always first learn from YouTube videos until you get some down and then refer to The System.

if you cannot sybil with absolutely no problem i would say hold off until you get that down. its a pretty simple flourish but the concept is used throughout cardistry over and over again.

The best source is youtube ... a lot of great tutorials and flourishes ... the trilogy is really good as well ... the system is whatever.

Begin with Trilogy and follow by the system.

I'd be gave up on this if I saw the system first. It's too hard.

Nope, papercuts' flourishes are created by Chris Hestnes. It's explained clearly and easy to follow.
The system is very hard to follow because D&D doesn't teach but rather do the moves slow and let us follow them.
