So what is your favorite deck? I don't mean what you find pratical, or what you paid the most for. I mean the deck that when you see in your collection you look at and think "I remember when I first got that, it amazed me so much". Mine would be the Karnival renegades.

hmmm interesting question. I know people have asked similar question but I like the way you phrased it. The deck I see in my collection and look at and think "I remember when I first got that, it amazed me so much"... that would probably be the red white lions!

Probably my Wynns.  I think they're beautiful, and the handling is excellent IMO, probably my favourite stock and I usually don't worry about the finish too much (well, within reason).  I love casino decks, generally because I like gambling so to me, they're the perfect package.  Kinda pricey, though.

My Smoke V1 Deck is probably mine, it's been used so much but I still love it, maybe I'll get a pic posted tomorrow.

My favorite deck in my collection is actually my newest addition, the c.1920 Class "A" tax stamp bee deck. I enjoy the fact that it is a deck that is very hard to find, let alone still in mint condition. It is the only deck I have that gets exponentially more special to me as the years pass and is the only deck I would sell last if I had to sell off my collection. It is also got me wanting to expand my deck collection further into the vintage realm so it could be a very key deck in my further purchases.

Probably my Blue Artifice V2
If I go on vacation, I take that deck and I bring it to school all of the time.

Hmm, interesting thought,

1) what deck you own is your favourite?
2) what deck you do not necessarily own is your favourite?

1) probably white devos or bicycle guardians
2) perhpas karnival series? have yet to own them yet.. there's also tendril, vortex, mana, skulkor jokers.............

1) I find it difficult to pick a single deck to be my favorite over all others.  I have a number of decks I really enjoy using and owning.  Some would be:
Moth/Myth
The Watcher
Infinity - I was one of the first people outside of E to get my hands on a pack, and it was a gift from J-Bone
Tally Ho
Bee "casino sample" decks - casino-grade Bees, traditionally-cut
Arcane, especially white
both colors of the Z. Kok New Fan Backs
Club Angel red and blue from Japan
Bicycle Clot
Be@rbrick
Stick Man
Showboat House of Blues Atlantic City uncanceled casino deck
Bicycle Guardians
Propaganda
and the list could go on all night.

2) Favorite decks I don't own?  How do I know if they're my favorites if I don't own them?  Most desired deck would be a better question.

I'm hoping to get a White Centurions in a trade some day - maybe even two.  There's probably more I can think of, but again, I'd be here all night.

Don, I know this is off topic - but what rare decks don't you own?

There's quite a few.  The White Cents, Jerry's...  I don't own any decks supporting tobacco (Marlboro Texan 45s, RJRTC "Watermelon" Bees) or alcohol (JAQK Cellars, Virginia Slims).  It's a personal thing.

I own very little vintage, and not that old.  Two '60s Empire Arrcos and 17 packs of bridge-sized airline decks from the '70s.

I don't own S&M v1-4, just 5 and 6.

I didn't buy the Bicycle Apollo deck!  Nor did I buy Bicycle Tattoo v2!

Rarest deck I possess is a pack of Broken Spell, by Jisuk Cho.  I have only one, had to get it through an auction by the artist to raise emergency funds for Japanese tsunami relief.  There's well under a thousand in print, but I don't know exactly how many.  And yes, I opened it!  Next rarest would be two recently-acquired packs of White New Fan Backs.

I plan to photograph my collection on display soon.  Last week I posted a display of one pack each of all the decks I own.  Let's see where I can find that topic...

http://aethercards.com/discourse/index.php?topic=99.60

Go take a look and you can tell me what I don't have!  :))

I hope to take an inventory of the collection soon.

Wow that's a pretty solid collection! I don't have that many but I was finally able to get my cards on a bookshelf!! They look great finally being displayed instead of sitting in a box somewhere.

The rare decks that I own as of now are the Tungstene deck, Gold Monarchs, Red White Lions/David Blaine Variety Box, and then there are the "rare" decks but I won't go into those.

Well, looking at that collection and counting decks, including ones I acquired AFTER the photos were taken, I have about 400 different deck designs.  Of all those decks, most of them I have at least one extra sealed deck beyond what was on display.  In some cases, I have many copies.  I have a little over a half-gross of Gemaco casino decks ALONE, and I've GIVEN AWAY another gross to friends, family and patients at the hospital where I volunteer.

My best guess at total decks owned would be over nine hundred.

I wonder when it will be "OVER 9000!"  :P  Hehehe....

Anyway, back on topic... Mine would probably be my Shadow Masters. Well loved/used and the deck I LoL'd so hard when I found the one-way back principle on it.
I prefer hand written signatures over digital ones but the ink appears to be stuck on my monitor screen...
