Who here has pledged on the Galvanic Deck?

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1293645903/galvanic-playing-cards-design-by-sean-whelan

I have, I was just wondering who else, as the fund raising seems to be a fair bit slower than the Tendril Deck,

The Galvanic is an awesome looking deck and I'd love to see it get funded this time.

Nope.
Why?In the next few weeks Seasons & Mana playing cards are being released. They just appeal to me more then the Galvanic Deck.
Blue Crown is releasing their new deck soon too.
Just too many decks coming out in short time, and i have set myself a cash limit for playing cards.
Just my honest opinion.
;-)
Currently waiting for those decks being released :
- Seasons [Primavera / Seronda]  / Aether [Vortex] / Bicycle [Actuators] / Mana [Oracle] / The Blue Crown - [Altruism] / Encarded [Tendril]

I still am not a huge fan of this particular style, but I do appreciate how much work and how hard it is to get a deck like that together, so I pitched in and gave a little support. Gotta help a bro reach his dreams.

I didn't pledge either because of the same reasons as Comsmicsecret. A lot of decks coming out soon and I just need to pick and choose carefully. Overall this deck doesn't speak to me like some of the upcoming decks do.

@Cosmic I didn't know about the new BC deck!

I'll be pledging for a few. Helping someone reach their dreams appeals more to me than pleasing someone who already had their dreams fulfilled. Then again, I don't collect contemporary decks so I feel absolutely no urge to buy any of the new releases unless there is a personal reason behind them. =P

If I'm honest, I don't overly like the court cards. It's the back of the cards that I like. I'm not sure why, I just absolutely adore it. And that's why I'll be pledging for one deck as soon as my brother's home from New York.

@ Sean
I think the rewards tiers are very poorly chosen...I mean you have a 25 limited reward for 3 decks at $25, but 50 rewards at the $300 and $500, plus another 25 at the $400 level. If you count the decks only for this 3 levels you get 6600 decks :o .
Plus I think the bread and butter would be the 2 and 3 decks rewards.

As a suggestion: trim the number of the high pledges and do a new reward for the 3 decks(with added international shipping charges, to don't get burned on the high cost of shipping overseas).Think about 200 rewards multiplied by $25= half of your needed funding.

No need to double-post this.  You said it on the other Galvanic topic.  We know how to read, give us some credit.

His rewards did seem a little low when it came to covering international shipping.  Perhaps he knows something we don't.  Perhaps the spur in international orders will make enough extra volume on the deck that it'll cover the losses he might otherwise incur.  Only Sean knows for sure.

Today I found something that reminded me of you. But don't worry I flushed and everything went back to normal.

Did you read the entire post???
It's not only about the international shipping...and I said in the other forum that I would post here too, because the other forum seems to have very little traffic.

I read the post there.  I read the post here.  That's my point.  Anyone interested in this deck is reading BOTH topics, you don't need to double-post.

I only felt the international shipping was worth any additional comment.  The rest is all you.

Agreed, agreed, & agreed... Combine this thread... With all due respect, it looks as though the Galvanic deck is going the same way it did last time... Posting two threads is not going to be the critical element in saving the project... Perhaps revamp the entire back... It's just too much and bothersome... the fronts seem ok...

However, again, no need for the double post... You should request to combine the threads...

If a mod wishes to combine the threads by all means do so, I only created this thread after going back three pages in playing card plethora and not finding a Galvanic thread.

It's not a big deal. Alex himself posted on here and didn't care too much (or so it seems). Many people may not look at both; if they see one they may not even think to look for another. So the double post by JimmyJohns wasn't total spam. If we just chill and let the conversation flow it'll all be fine.

@Brown_Baggs
Thank you !
I don't try to be a smart ass...One of the previous problems with the old Galvanic project, was the same out of sense pledge rewards.
I mean, do anybody think that is going to be 50 people at the $500 reward????
You need to already have a NAME for that...
I really like the cards, I've pledged before...I just want to help....

Just relax and take a nice, deep breath.  It'll be cool.  No one thinks you're a smart ass, just a little green around the ears.  No one here is perfect.

For the future, when you need to make two posts in a row, just edit the first post and add the second post to it.  It cuts down on clutter/spam.  :))
