What cards do you use for your "Expert At The Card Table" sleights?

Hey guys just wondering when you do such moves as the second deal etc what deck of cards you choose to use? I know its reccomended to use something like a Bee deck with a less intricate pattern then Bikes, but what are your thoughts?

Steamboats are the be-all and end-all of Erdnase sleights.

I am more curious about people prefer which grip especially when doing bottom deal?

I WAY prefer the mechanic grip for bottom deal.  I have a slight preference for it for second deals but the biddle grip has its advantages as well.

I see, everyone has his preferred grip that fits his hand and makes him feel comfortable. Sometimes it depends on the mood I am in, yesterday I use Master grip, today I use Erdnase grip

Just for the heck of it, I use erdnaiseums hehehe.
Anyway, the grip I use is usually the mechanics or the gamblers grip. I try to keep my deck grip uniform so people wont get the impression of me handling the cards a different way on different tricks. Maybe its just me...

It's not just you, every performer should do likewise, it's a good habit.
 
I said I use different grips, because most of the time we have different spectators, we may use them to practice different grips (or sleights). Interactive experience is as important as self-practicing. Maybe its just me.

Dai Vernon is one person who knew EATCT inside and out - he worked on a video documentary and co-authored a pair of books on the topic, most recent being "Revelation".  His favorite deck was Tally Ho.  There's many photos around of him performing with Tallys.

I currently actually use my dead massas. They are pretty durable and stiff at the same time.

Boarder less cards are good for second deal.
So go on the bees, or if you want more flashy decks then try the vintage plaid by D&D.

Turner Bikes! They last a long, long time! And they're traditionally cut. So it's helpful in doing things.
