Yeah I read that from another thread. But I don't get it, how would some people have it but others don't? Maybe those who got it once reached 250 and got downfamed to where they are now? o.O....

The fact that I scored one while my fame was negative-sixty was a dead giveaway that it's a glitch...

Yes, bug.  Has to be; no one's fame got that high.  Peuan did confirm that no one is supposed to have fame in the negative numbers, too!

Alex mentioned previously that we would have negative fame in the new system. I think it was in his daily update on V2 or it might have been somewhere else but I do remember it. I'm not sure what you're referring to. Maybe it's changed but I think that negative fame is suppose to be there so that people who spam can't just hit rock bottom haha

Perhaps at some point Alex changed his mind.  If someone's that unpopular, maybe he just locks down their account or something.  You start with a small amount of fame practically for signing up, so if some n00b decides to be a troll, he'll lose what little fame he has quickly.  But one way or the other, it looks like negative fame is not a feature, it's a bug.

I think a good person to ask about this would be Alex and/or Peuan.

Okay well you were talking about this in two forums and I posted the link to what Alex said in the other forum, so you can go read that. Also we all know that Alex doesn't lock down lightly, or that seems to be the case.

I doubt it's gonna stay at all. Some people have been trolling and randomly upfaming/downfaming others without any reference to the contents. I think it's fair for everyone's fame to be reset.

Of course it's fair - we're testing the beta for bugs!  Alex wants us to abuse the system while it's being tested so he can evaluate how it's working.  He's already caught a few errors in the system which I'm sure are being corrected if they haven't already been.

I'm not having this problem but some people have badges they shouldn't have. For example some people with 100 fame have the 250+ fame badge....

that is probably because at one point they had over 250 fame.

Baggs is the only one who has or has ever had more than 250 fame. And the badge isn't for if they get 250+ at one point. It's for if they have it currently.

No, as long as you've reached 250 fame at any point in time, you'll keep the badge. This is important since you can spend your fame in the shop, so it can go down.
