I'm in the US, I get the US issue. There's also a Canadian issue that's not the "gold box" version. It's easy to identify - Canadian law requires packaging to be in both English and French. Lemme show you a photo or two...
These are the fronts and backs of Bicycle Rider Backs. The top row are "classic" boxes, the ones I remember going all the way back to childhood - from left to right: blue, red and black.
The middle row on the left are the red and blue WalMart boxes. They're sold in cello-wrapped pairs, side by side, and at a nice price. The middle row on the right are the red and blue "Standard" editions sold everywhere else.
The bottom row are current Canadian issue, made in the US and sold under the International Playing Card Company out of Markham, Ontario. Americans can probably find them easily enough at Canadian border towns.
For anyone who's wondering, USPC hasn't made a new US-issue "Standard" box print run of the black Rider Backs yet. They're still selling Cincinnati stock. The deck is sold exclusively as part of a boxed set that's perfect for a poker night - two Standard reds and two classic blacks. Used to be all classic-box decks until they ran out of the reds, but the packaging hasn't been updated at all and the boxed set has a "classic" look to it.
The Canadian black Rider Backs have a joker stating they were made in Erlanger.
