The original monarch release went smooth and was over within a couple minutes. Saying that, the original monarch pre-release was not really hyped up and consumers expected to be able to purchase the same deck 2 weeks later if they did not get them at the presale. I would expect that if T11 had said there were only 144 of the gold monarch decks in the world...there would undoubtedly have been a crash

It was all part of a plan. The gold monarch's release made a lot of people think that next time they'd better be on time for the release, which is why tons of people were ready this time around.

If I like the look of a deck, I try to get it. I liked the look of this deck, so I decided to try to get it because I thought it'd look nice on my shelf.

The reason for me was to simply complete a rare "set" and go with the two gold monarch decks I own.

buying these "limited and rare" decks is like buying stocks. once people have no faith or interested in the deck..it's worthless.
if this theory is true. if there is no demand even in the after market, T11 will eventually sales it to public one way or another. they probably even have their own fake ebay account selling it in the after market. XD

Well that kinda sucks, but I guess traffic will be pretty low in comparison). I will just ask my mom or dad if they can try to get them for me.

yeah, but even having sub 1000 decks sold to the public still makes it quite a rare deck. I will be interested to see how often T11 gives opportunities for consumers to get this deck, considering its being marketed as super rare and hard to get.

Thanks for that update, I was a bit confused about the 2nd release. Numerous people were saying numerous things at numerous forums. I know what Alex said can certainly be correct. It seems like a color change and hype on a deck should not make people go so crazy. I have to say my interest in obtaining these decks was driven more by aesthetics than rarity. I really like the looks of the white and gold. Those pictures CBJ posted were exceptionally nice. Other than that, color change alone can be quite disappointing.

I don't get it, the original Monarch had been panned by most of us last year and now T11 changed the color, you guys see it as the second coming of White Cents?

I thought there are more sheep in New Zealand. I was wrong. Enjoy the manufactured hype.

usually i dont care about "limited release" cards like the red artifice and such but the white monarchs look so darn pretty i just want one to look at all day :p ill also be in school at 11 so ill either have to wait for another window or just wait for when they're given as free gifts or something during the holidays

I wish they would release a bigger quantity of these...the whole "This is rare because we control how many we are selling" idea is getting annoying. I don't want these cards for the rarity, I want them because I think they look better than the original Monarchs and I think they will go well with the original as like a set. I suppose it's not Thoery 11's job to make everyone happy  .
