This is made in Japan, thought I searched and couldnt find any on sales in Japan.
Not even any details about this deck.
But the company that produced this deck is the same company that produced club angel playing cards that Shoot ogawa uses.

How are they compared to Gemacos?

this is what i receive in my email ..

Now, a very limited supply of casino playing cards originally produced in Japan by Angle Playing Card Company, these uncanceled casino playing cards were intended for the Pacific Cruise Line gaming tables.

These cards do not have any holes punched through them, any corners cut, or any black marks muddying up the edges of the deck like the majority of casino decks for purchase - they are uncanceled. This adds dearly to their value.

With spring-like premium casino stock and an Air Cushion-esque finish, these durable cards are built to withstand the constant use of gambling patrons manhandling them.

These uncanceled as issued casino decks are a perfect addition to any playing card collection.

These are 100% original and uncanceled. NOT facsimiles. First come - first serve.

A clear favorite among Asian gaming circles, Angel Playing Card Company prints the majority of cards for Pacific Rim casinos and Cruise Lines (found in Macau, Korea, Australia, Philippines, New Zealand, Malaysia, and many other places).

Poker sized. Plastic coated and fine silky embossed paper for smoothness and longevity. These decks are not in cellophane.

Note: These cards feel considerably different than American-made cards.

i personally think the deck is pretty cheap .. $8.99 with free shipping worldwide :D

I don't know where you saw free shipping worldwide. I didn't see it:
"Order Angel: Ascal Pacific Cruise Lines - $8.99 per deck

plus shipping and handling to anywhere in the world."
8.99 isn't very cheap for a casino deck either. However it seems pretty normal since these come from Asia.

I agree, but then look at Bulldog Squeezers. To me they are perhaps the world's worst handling USPCC deck or cards (very very clumpy (and ugly too IMO)), yet he sells them. I don't like their feel or stock either.

Not much of a comparison.  I could take a deck of Bikes, toss them in a salad bowl with a light vinaigrette and they'd STILL handle better than most Gemacos!

Angel Playing Cards is a great brand, based in Japan.  I have the Club Angel poker decks and they're among my favorites.  This is essentially the PREMIUM version of those.

Don, is it this company?

I remember they were mentionned on these forums, I believe by Lalita. I recently had an opportunity to purchase some Angel decks for a relatively low price. Do you recommend them?

Yes, that's the company.  I already recommended them.  See:

Sounds like a recommendation to me!  :))

Just got an email from Lee Asher about these. Don't know if they were out of stock, and are now back. But yeah, they're still available (or available again).
My mom always said I'd be great at something. Who'd have thought that something would be zombie killin'.

I have to get some of these, finally.  I skipped last time they were offered.  Angel Playing Cards from Japan are a great brand, and these are pretty much the top-of-the-line model they make.
