Nice review. A couple tips. First of all, the lighting is pretty bad, and I have trouble seeing anything. Also, for the shininess, it might be because gold pops out more on white than it does on blue. Are you sure there is metallic ink on the backs? Finally, for the faros, they probably are pretty bad because the cards aren't broken in yet and the edges are still rough.

yeah I've been trying on the lighting for a long time. I do know it is metallic gold ink on the backs as theory11 said it when they revealed them on exposé. Also, the day I get decks I do like a thirty minute long edge break-in. So it is just the deck. but I still like them! Thanks though, I'll be uploading a Tendril review later, and I filmed it in a different spot. Maybe tell me if it's better?

Sure. I liked the lighting on the original Monarchs deck review.
Also, I also noticed you had faro trouble with that deck too, which is kinda weird. How long have you been faroing?

Nathan: Four years. It may just be I was looking for a flaw in these decks because I'm not a fan of T11. They were actually good faro's. I just didn't want to buy more. :'(

BMP: Thanks!

LOL. They do seem to only faro one way out of the box, so that might just be the issue. How many white ones did you get?

Two, traded one though for a Red Artifice and V5 S&M. Good deal to me, as I LOVE v5's.

Yeah I'm fourteen. But I don't think my voice is annoyingly high-pitched. My humour is sophisticated enough to enjoy your avatar, and I don't talk in text language. Also, I don't think age matters as much as enthusiasm and finally finding a hobby that you can enjoy and share with others. Good day to you jmrock.

All decks generally faro only one way out of the box because of how they were cut.

I noticed the the White and original Monarchs are TRADITIONALLY CUT.  Means they faro face down rather than face up.

Could that have been the issue?

Maybe. I also noticed the Artifices are also traditionally cut.

Yeah, that's how I've been faro-ing them. The Artifice may have just bed because they were old.

Really?  I'll have to check that out when I get home from work.

Best inexpensive deck that's traditionally cut: Tally Ho (just the USPC versions - the other versions are hit or miss as far as being traditionally cut and usually cost more as well).
