Well I was looking at Dan & Dave's Twitter and noticed two interesting things in the last couple of days:

“@SterlingFulton: In the darkroom half the day. Meeting @bucktwins at SEVEN.” --- Yes, it's true.

The deck we've always wanted. Available this Friday at 8pm PST. Follow us on #Instagram for teases throughout the week.

Sounds almost like hints at a possible V7 release. They also have a V6 and the supposed V7 on their Facebook page now!  :D

  • Pick a card, any card...no, not THAT card!

  • Facebook:

Lol, Hahaha *wipes hypothetical tears*. What is with you and Dan and Dave?

Long story.  Short version is that they started removing some of my FB comments on their release of MCv2.  I was pissed off about having the cards literally taken from my shopping cart in mid-purchase.  If someone did that to me in a supermarket, let's just say it wouldn't be pretty...

Haha don, you're perfect. Maybe the fulton's will have a 'beer'-proof stock, or an integrated slot in the card box. Maybe in the future, they'll be selling one card at a time, and produce 1 box, ultra colletible... :)

If people will buy it, they will sell it.

Coming soon: Smoke and Mirrors undergarments - makes your private parts 100% more attractive-looking when worn!  (Not responsible for date disillusionment and inability to get second date.  Do not use with dorky clothing.  Consult with your doctor if you start feeling dizzy or have uncontrollable itching.  Not for use while handling playing cards or other magic-oriented apparatus - see above re: dorky clothing.)

Don! You should pay attention to Dan and Daves new releases, because even if they say they don't read the forums, they might be lying and come on here to steal your innovative ideas. Haha I mean you had some pretty good ones... Lubricant?? I can see it now : "A brad Fulton exclusive... A personal lube so magical you'll be in and out before your spectator knows what happened, all  the while giving them the illusion of satisfaction"  haha you're products are right up their ally, so if I were you I'd keep keep an eye out And maybe you can cash in when they release their sports jacket!

"Right up their ally"?  Makes me glad I'm not one of their allies!  Oh, wait - you meant "alley"...  That was sounding very uncomfortable for a bit...  :))

I agree with vmagic and J&T. I think they are taking advantage of Fulton to create some hype without us being able to accuse them of creating loads of hype.

This will be my updated guess which I think is fairly accurate.

1. Vortex cardistry DVD
2. New card clip
3. New T-Shirt
4. Ace Fulton's Casino Deck
5. Smoke and mirrors v7
This is what I'm also guessing. And maybe instead of the shirt there will be another DVD/download.

Again, I don't see why they would release 2 new decks. I think they will only release the fulton's. My uneducated guess is that they will be released around August. For the last release, I do see like an uncut of the fulton's.

There will almost certainly be a shirt, remember the contest on instagram to win an unreleased shirt? Now I'm starting to doubt S&M, come to think of it, hype has been minimal. Remember last year with the v6's? Plus they'd almost certainly release an uncut sheet to go with. You know in the end of the day let's all be surprised! We don't know for certain what will come out... Btw we are all generating hype lol.

Well, if they're buying the drinks, maybe I'll be there!  I'll be very disappointed if I don't get my beverages!

Below is a picture linked in the quote. Aside than the drink, I am curious about the card-themed matches and the card. I wonder what they can be.

No matter what is being released, I just hope that they don't pull a theory11 and release four items counting as one.

Watch them release a book of matches... With a Dan and Dave logo on it... "Hey guys, look at this, we've got a revolutionary matchbook! Lights up in a half a second. Produces a flame 5% bigger than normally. Woah!"

The matchbook is a generic design that was popular with bars, poker clubs and casinos in the 1970s.  D&D can't take credit for that one!

They conveniently added single Ace Casino decks after I ordered the brick thinking that was all they were releasing! So that makes 4 items so far.

I checked out, check my account statement and show total order was 0.00 and "pending items" status,  but they have deducted my store credit.

Don't worry. It's normal that it showed up as zero cause you paid by store credit.

Wow... is that what the hype is for?  I will have to pass on my first D&D decks in quite some time... Mediocrity is running rampant in the collectible playing card world... What was once special is so watered down where there are 20+ new decks per month to consider...

As for the cards themselves... plain, ordinary, and blah... Is placing them on top of the Jerry's Nuggets somehow supposed to induce collectors into a trance to purchase them?  I am also curious as to whether or not the triumvirate is really starting to believe their own $#!T... The Midnight deck - Ace Fulton's luckiest deck??? Is Brad Fulton dressed up like a silly looking cowboy representing some fictional character supposed to get me interested in picking this deck up as well... Sorry, didn't work on me... Give me a sick looking deck and I'll buy it... This one I'm not buying any of... not the deck, not the gimmicks, not the foolishness... Hope they score better next time...

Ace Fulton is a FICTIONAL CHARACTER.  He never lived except in the imagination of the D&D Printing Co.

I didn't get one, either - BREACH OF CONTRACT!  CLASS-ACTION!!  Where's my lawyer's number?!?  :))

A few people on the UC seem to think these cards are fugly, does anyone else agree? Personally I think they look fine.

The faces aren't so bad - I like the small pips.  I'm done with the "faded/aged look" - they did that on the Vintage Plaids already!  The non-spade Aces look ridiculous - they ALL have a spade motif.  And those backs?  Holy crap.  Those colors are very 1970s, to be sure, but they were butt-ugly even back then!  Only the, ahem, finest polyester leisure suits came in those colors!!  :))  It makes my decision not to buy so very easy to live with.

People are already hyping these cards as "the new Jerry's Nugget".  That's like me hyping a briquette of charcoal as "the new diamond".  The only thing they have in common is a horrible choice of colors.  The Ace Fulton's aren't even a real casino deck!

This deck is "sick", in the sense that those backs make me nauseous when I see them...  It's pretty plain to me that the Bucks (and possibly Brad) didn't really grow up in the early seventies and didn't have to look at those funky colors that are practically the decade's signature.

I thought there was a blog post mentioning that Ace was Brad's granduncle?

I actually like the color of these. However, I'm disappointed by the fact that they print two vintage-style decks in a row. Also, I dislike the look of the aces. But I like the nice pips and the box. I might get some, but their "Mignight Fuel" decks is all just BS.

I picked up one orange one, just because it's an unusual color and I don't have any vintagey looking decks. I'd agree that prehyping your own stuff as a classic is a little lame. Oh well, their marketing does work for many. Still, and i say this everytime, I'd love to see the big guys doing more custom work. They hold so much power and use so little of it to drive things to new areas. Eventually their complacency will backfire, it's just a matter of how long it will take...

Funny I don't recall seeing anyone hyping these as the new Jerry's Nugget, we all know it ain't.
