Well I asked the creator if it is possible for him to show the ace,court cards or jokers but as for now that's all I'm getting on his facebook page and also the page was created on Monday so it's quite new.

Something went wonky - 52cartes seems to have PULLED the article.  Your link now leads to a 404 error, and it doesn't appear when you look at the home page.

MOD'S EDIT: as of 12:01am EDT on 14 Aug 2012, the link above is now dead.  A search on Facebook for "Carpathia" turns up everything Carpathian except this deck.  Searching "Carpathia Playing Cards" or "Carpathia Cards" yields zero results.
MOD'S 2ND EDIT: found out they're using "Carpathia Team" as their page name.  They're there.

Wow it looks really interesting, might pick up a couple of these I like the Ace a lot and the dolphin with reveal is cute

The faces remind me of a mix of the infinity deck and the artifice deck. It looks really good but I also think that the back really lacks color. I also think that the borders should be thinner. Looks great!

I think the cards look nice. Too bad the back's only 1-Color and has such a large border.

The fonts on the Tuck Box are horrible though! CARPATHIA in the banner looks really plain in Helvetica and the kerning is way too spaced out, especially at the end with the I and A. The font used for PLAYING CARDS and on the side looks like it could work with the art but the kerning with this font is way too tight.

I like the Dolphin and Court Cards!

To me, the indices are straight from the LTD deck, which were modified versions of the Artifice deck to begin with - from Artifice to LTD, the pips went from custom to standard.  The court cards look nearly identical to those from the Magic-Con v2 deck.


The back in interesting, and I'm not against a one-color deck back (done right, it looks very elegant), but I'm not seeing any organized theme.  Take a look at this:

There's a LOT of things that can be tied to Carpathia.  I'm not seeing a single one of them in this deck.  The closest it gets would be the ship's rudder wheel tying to the RMS Carpathia - and that's a real stretch.  The back is, however, the most original part of the deck so far.  I'm just not seeing this as something I'd pick up for my collection - it feels more like someone pulling together a bunch of elements to try making something sellable and less like original art with a cohesive theme.

But hey, that's just me; if you guys love it, then go for it.

I am so so on this deck. I find the artwork very nice, but also inconsistent, and very similar to many other decks (seasons, artifice mostly IMO). However some little added details fit pretty nicely.

At the same time, I have prepared many activities and prizes, 18 Carpathia Deck, 20 Uncut Sheet, Golden monarch, and ultimate prize: Mac Book Air 13’. In addition, I would hold another competition on Wednesday, and good luck!

I find if very selfish and rude to ask for suggestions with a complete design that you are unwilling to change.

That was my comment asking them about the change. Anyways, there is a SEVERE lack of blue in the deck. Why was blue not even the colour of the water below the ship, why the hell are there dolphins, why are the court cards holding severely out of proportion wind instruments instead of in sailor costumes and life jackets. It really just makes sense.

This deck I suspect will be abit of a bummer to open up, it is essentially a black and white deck.

We will not modify JQK design, I think initially designed better.

I'm curious as to why you're giving away so many prizes that are going to make your profit margin almost non-existent, unless it's a 5,000 run and they're priced at $10 per Deck! To me the 20 Uncuts and Mac Book Air 13" makes it look like you're trying to buy support.

This sounds pretty fishy to me. Giving away so many decks and a macbook air on a 2,500 deck print run from USPCC... I don't see how that's possible.
