I didn't quite like the start. Nor do I really like the cards. The thing that gets me is the way Pred is so innovative with his flourishes, it really inspires many cardists and drives us forward.

I think the Actuators in cut flourishes are really pretty flashy and cool, especially when there's some card spins in the routine.  With all the gears on the back, it sort of resembles a machine in your hands in motion.  The Mechanic deck would do the same, but its dark monochrome layout wouldn't catch the eye like the Artist Edition Actuators do.


I enjoyed the routine a lot.  Thanks.

I've never really viewed Lance's designs as being ideal for flourishing, but I guess when you've got skills like that you can make any deck look awesome. I particularly like the move at 0:27 where he rotates the cards and is able to keep that central gear recognizable.
