I'm going to invent a new thing for collectors: The "Skippable Factor." It will be a scale from 0-100.

• 0 means there is no skippable factor, and you simply must acquire it at all costs. You'd sell your mother or children.
• 100 means it's completely skippable and you never want to see it again. Even thinking about it makes you slightly nauseous.
 

So, for me this deck has a "SF" of 94.

Ditto on that, I give this deck an impressive 101 out of 100, it looks so cheezy and lame. This really is just another example of the now ridiculously saturated market pumping out sub-par novelty-esqe decks....

Well......I guess I am the exception. Depending on the price I might get this. Not for a limited or rare factor but I kinda like the look and I know plenty of people into zombies that would love to see these.

I am assuming these are designed by the USPCC (the only reason they would put 'zombie free since 1885', other wise that is quite witty piss taking). If they are indeed USPCC, it's just another example of the USPCC trying to get their share of the boom in custom decks... Remember the stickman deck? Or tragic royalty deck? They aren't getting the idea that for a deck to be successful you need a theme/concept - and you can't rely on the Bicycle brand to sell your deck.

That being said, if this deck is USPCC it will probably be cheaper than the other custom decks and for that reason I'll probably pick one up - $5 won't break the bank.

If these aren't USPCC designed then I won't get them. It's one thing for the USPCC to slap their name on something and hope that it sells (Big Gun decks, anyone?) but it's another thing for some unknown designer to try to jump on the bandwagon with a gimmicky deck.

It looks okayish... More of a novelty than a 54-works-of-art deck.

It's PROBABLY a USPC design, but we won't know for certain until it shows up at the Wingra Direct store.


Tragic Royalty was a bit tragic in that the gray cards make the deck look a bit blah, but the back design rocked.  And they could have done without the UV-sensitive paper - it's only noticeable on the face cards, so what's the point?


I LIKED the Stickman deck!


USPC made two big mistakes with the Big Gun deck.  First, they made a vintage deck back with 100% modern faces, right down to the AoS and Jokers.  Second, they tried pricing them at collector prices off the bat instead of making them reasonable to start with.  That second point was the biggest reason that deck blew chunks in USPC's face.


Having said all that, I think my personal SF for this deck is maybe 90.  Not planning to buy it, wouldn't throw it away if I got it as a gift.  (And since the odds of that are practically nil...)


I personally like to think of the SF as the "Stink Factor"!

Hey, I liked the Tragic Royalty deck a lot. The only thing that made me save my money was the fact the handling was horrible. The red really popped on the gray.

You're quick - I was posting the same info on the NDR topic when you posted this!

Technically, it's a pre-order.  The deck comes out on 10 Sept and orders placed now will ship in 5-7 business days.  But I'm not putting a deck that's this close to release and taking pre-orders on the NDR, especially since it's not exactly highly anticipated judging from posts here.

If by "case" you mean the tuck box, look at the first post in this topic.


If by "case" you mean the six-deck "half-brick" box they come in for orders of that size, don't count on anything fancy or special, especially considering that it's a fairly cheap custom deck.  I've never seen those done custom - just plain white.

I think those Big Gun Decks looked pretty cool.Now if USPCC is not good at marketing a historical deck reprint, that's another story...I wish they will follow trough the whole series.

The Guns had a great back - but the fronts might as well have been a modern pack of Rider Backs.  The least they could have done, as a simple token effort to pay tribute to the original deck, would have been to have a classic original-issue Ace of Spades, maybe at least one Joker as well.  It looks like they attempted to mine their old deck backs for gold and came up with pyrite because of how they handled it.


Considering they originally sold for $30-50 a pair and eventually got dumped on the market for $0.99 a pack in a closeout sale, it's looking unlikely that they'll reprint the remaining three decks.  The odds are better that they'd revive the Vintage or Limited Edition lines (and those aren't good odds)...


The Zombie deck, for me - it's a novelty.  I can't afford to buy every novelty deck that comes by.
