Thank you. That makes so much more sense. I'm using my Mom's PayPal so that's why I haven't gotten shipping info.

Possibly! I haven't seen the shipping yet though, so I may not, but I most likely will get a few.

Im still undecided.  Just cant justify spending that much for shipping.  I might pass.  Plenty of great decks coming out this year to look forward too.

Well,i send them a reply on the shipping quote they have send me (73USD for a brick to germany via EMS)
I reduced my order to 6 decks and asked for a new quote for that.
If this gonna be so overpriced again...then i will wait for resellers.
Sorry but this is nuts paying soo much for shipping and in worst case scenarios additional taxes/customs.

Currently waiting for those decks being released :
- Seasons [Primavera / Seronda]  / Aether [Vortex] / Bicycle [Actuators] / Mana [Oracle] / The Blue Crown - [Altruism] / Encarded [Tendril]

I would wait for resellers, but who knows how much they will sell for, and for the fact that I want some signed decks.

Nope. They were sponsored by a distributor here in the Philippines so part of the production is going to them to sell in their stores for a dollar more than the pre-order price.

I only want two decks and shipping is $15 to the US. I'm still undecided if I want to go through with it.

This is the automated response i got from them...

Dear Valued Customer,
While we understand your concerns about the shipping cost, it is unfortunate that we cannot do anything about these rates as they are given to us by the local post office here in the Philippines.

However, having said that, we are more than happy to direct you to a US dealer (the1eyedjack.com) who has just ordered from us through this pre-order sale. This could very well save you on a lot of shipping costs. And while your current purchase is secured here, we give you the option to either continue your purchase with us or wait until the US dealer receives their stock of the Mana deck at a later date. The choice is yours.

Either way, we are happy that you have confirmed with us, but understand if you wish to cancel your order with us and wait for the1eyedjack.com to receive their stock.

Thank you very much for your support!
Best regards,
Erik Mana

I'm calling BS, that, or Erik has zero business skills in finding cheaper shipping. There are better options.  I'll be ordering (less) locally, and not get scammed.

I might pick up 2 from the 1eyedjack. It will be more for the deck but I will end up saving money because of shipping costs.

Agreed with russell! There's always alternative to cheaper shipping cost, like how all other big companies do!
1eyedjack? doesn't he overprice some of the decks?

The one eyed Jack is a good guy, but he always overprices his decks. I may imagine Mana will soon become a $18-20 deck :karrit:

I bet he will put them at $15. And if you buy 2 @ $15= $30 + $10(ish shipping to canada) Then it is about the same price.

If he put them at $15, then as I said "he is a good guy"... :P :P
I really think he is kind enough if his price is $18-20, after looking at his be@rbrick: http://www.the1eyedjack.com/servlet/the-452/Bearbrick-Deck/Detail

I honestly don't think the savings will be that much. Here's some math

from Mana's site: 8 decks plus shipping to U.S.

(8)8.95 + 44 = $115.60

from 1EJ assuming eh sells them at MSRP: 8 decks plus shipping to the U.S.

8(10.95) + 15 = $102.60

Those are just some numbers. They are not 100% accurate. I don't know what the price 1EJ will set them at and what the shipping will be. You save a little if he sells them at MSRP with good shipping but if it's more than that then it won't really matter.

Also I would expect there to be a mad rush at 1EJ anyways. What do you all think?

Sounds like 1eyejack is anticipating about $20 (Just got an reply from him). For me it seems much better to buy direct.

1eyedjack
3 decks at $20 + $5 Shipping = $65

direct from mana
4 decks at 9.95 + $28 shipping = $68
